Reception staff and cleaners all very nice and helpful.  Not the restaurant or bar staff, infact one of the  restaurant staff was very rude to us and a couple of elderly ladies.
Annoying that you have to show your room card when you have your wrist band on, surely that can tell you what room we were in.
The food was OK for me but. 2 of our party were vegetarians and there wasn't much  for them to choose from, salad, cheese, potatoes and bread mostly. We were only there for 4 days, but if longer I would have found it repetitive.
The evening entertainment wasn't worth getting back for. One night was good when  dancers came from the adventure park
The cleaners are  lovely and pleasant. The rooms are clean, beds are big (2 double beds pushed together) and comfortable. But imagine quiet small if 4 in the room for a couple of weeks.
The location is good (close to the beach and strip).
Overall, it’s an ok hotel but we wouldn’t return. Not a great hotel for an all inclusive stay. I think the bar staff really let this place down, just a couple of exceptions, who smiled and were pleasant, but majority seemed like they didn't want to bother, you were a nuisance. Never had that in any hotel I've every stayed in. Was disappointing to see, and also that it was on other reviews, yet it's still happening.

Just returned from 7 days at the Villa Dorada and can honestly say it's a very good hotel which makes for a great holiday.
I've seen many reviews moaning about the food and the tokens. First off it's a 3 star hotel doing all inclusive meals 3 times a day for lots and lots of guests, and it has very nice and varied selections on all 3 timeslots. If you want Gordon Ramsay style dining I'd suggest upping your holiday budget. The tokens for drinks are a great idea you hand them in once then just your cups with you in order to get new drinks, Once finished hand the last cups in and you get the tokens back. I would imagine it is designed to stop scruffs just leaving plastic cups all over the pool area and it certainly works. The location of the hotel is excellent, a five minute walk to the strip of shops and bars and a similar walk to a lovely quiet beach. I do agree that the bar staff are a little miserable but it certainly doesn't affect the holiday.
All in all we had a great week and were fed and watered to a very good standard by some lovely hotel staff. It's a very good budget hotel in a very good location, don't listen to the whiners that want 5 star plus for the price of 3 star

We have just returned from a 10 night stay at the Villa Dorada, we have been to Salou many times but have never stayed at this end of Salou before, the location was brilliant 5 minute walk to a beautiful cove beach and a 5 minute walk to Salou's vibrant strip, with bars, restaurants and shops.
Our room was lovely, with a pool view and a side view of the road. The room was cleaned and we were provided with clean towels daily. We had a double bed and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
The food was good and the fresh bread was delicious, I am a fussy eater but managed to find something to eat every meal. My only complaint was the food was swimming in oil  but all in all it was flavoursome and plenty of it. The staff were very efficient and polite in the restaurant.
The pool area was very clean and sunbeds were plentiful, we prefered to sit on the chairs, the all inclusive drinks tokens seemed to work well, the tokens were exchanged for a plastic cup for drinks, when the cups were returned the tokens were given back, this kept the pool area clean and there were no disguarded cup left lying around.
The hotel is spotlessly clean and we would return again.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Ohtels Villa Dorada! From start to finish, everything was smooth and enjoyable. A special shout-out to Sergio from the animation team – he truly made our holiday! His energy, friendliness, and genuine enthusiasm brought so much life to the place. He’s honestly one of the main reasons we’ll be returning next year. A big mention also to Noe, who was lovely and full of fun too.

The reception staff were outstanding – so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The cleaners also deserve credit: they were thorough, efficient, and always greeted us with a smile.

The bar staff weren’t always the friendliest, but that didn’t bother us much. The drink portions were great, and we’ll definitely be going all-inclusive again next time.

The food was a bit hit and miss for our taste on some days, but there was always something to eat. And just a heads-up – the pool is absolutely freezing (the ocean was far warmer!), but once you’re in, it’s refreshing on those hot Salou days.

Overall, a fantastic holiday and one we’ll definitely be repeating. Can’t wait to come back next year!

An amazing hotel, we had such a lovely time at the Villa dorada. The staff were all so lovely and work so hard. Hotel was spotless and also the rooms. The hotel was constantly cleaned throughout the day. Food was lovely so much to choose from. Beaches and shops right on the doorstep.
Thank you Villa dorada for such a lovely stay, we really didn't want to go home. See you next year 🥰 Also a big shout out to the entertainment manager, thank you for making my son's holiday that even more special with the way you are and how much energy and happiness you have ( just a big kid yourself) Keep being you ❤️
