A man in glasses checked us into a terrible room with a tiny balcony on the 1st floor, where you could only stand because chairs simply wouldn't fit. In this room, flushing a piece of toilet paper took about ten minutes and required flushing the tank multiple times (the tank filled very slowly, and the toilet design was idiotic). Even though we had booked the hotel a month and a half in advance and requested a higher-floor room on the quiet side, our request wasn't fulfilled because they said all rooms were occupied. When we approached the second manager—a woman—she said that for $30-40, the man who checked us in would solve our problem and move us. In the end, we were only relocated the next day after complaining to the travel agency where we bought our package. Waiters extort tips in the same brazen way. There are three dining areas, and it was convenient for us to sit in the third one since we were a large group. One day during our stay, when we settled in the third hall, the waiter said that this area was no longer operating and asked us to leave, then closed the door. But ten minutes later, he opened the door and let three women in to eat there, who apparently paid him. I was also very disappointed by the paid scales at the reception in an "all-inclusive" hotel—first time I've seen that. The food is the only thing that kept me from giving this hotel the lowest rating possible.

Amazing place - perfect food, you wont even bother city restaurants. The only problem was AC - either working too hard and dry the air so much you wake up with throat ache or boil yourself in high temp.

This was my third time in Alanya. Alayna is nice city it has beautiful beaches and hotels but don`t go to this hotel if you plan to sleep.

If your room is located on the street side above the Melani restaurant, be prepared for sleepless nights. From 11 PM to 1:30 AM, the restaurant blasts music so loud that the beds literally shake—even with the terrace doors closed. I can't emphasize enough how unbearable the noise is. If you're planning to wake up early for the beach, this will ruin your plans.

If you switch to a room facing the pool, expect a different kind of disturbance. Drunk guests often shout and party by the pool until 1–2 AM. Around 3 AM and hotel staff doesn`t care about noise from drunk guests, hotel staff—or staff from the neighboring hotel—start dragging and throwing sunbeds, creating even more noise.

If you're looking for a peaceful and relaxing vacation, this is not the place for you. I stayed here once and will never return. I came back from my vacation more exhausted than when I left.

The pool area is another issue. Finding a free sunbed is nearly impossible because guests reserve them by leaving towels overnight, and the hotel staff allows this practice for some reason. Good thing is that I don`t care about pool because I came to be on the beach and to swim in the sea. Hotel beach is about 200-300m from hotel. Sea is nice but you must be careful when you swim or move on the hotel beach because there are big underwater rocks in the sea which you can`t see. That isn`t hotel issue because most of the beach in this part of the city has underwater rocks. Part of the city where is Kleopatra beach has less underwater rocks. It is good to know if it is your first time in Alanya.

Staff are lovely and the food is very tasty! The showers are cold during peak times (is. first thing in the morning) so I just showered in the evening instead.
The DJ is way too loud. Our hotel was one of the furthest away from the pool and I couldn't sleep because of his voice during the music quiz. I really wanted a good night's sleep before our excursion...

Had a wonderful 7 days at Oba star hotel with my girlfriend. Great location, the beach is literally round the corner, lots of shops and restaurants nearby and alanya town is just a short bus journey down the road.
The room was great, included all the essentials you would need, the air con works perfectly, was actually too cold on the first night 😅 after that we adjusted it to a comfortable temperature. Rooms cleaned daily if needed, fridge restocked with water daily, there was also cans of fizzy drink on our first day too which was a nice touch. The hotel staff were so helpful and friendly and really made us feel welcome. The manager was so lovely and she had a wealth of knowledge about local attractions and places to visit. The animation team Yasin and Lera were great fun and made every effort to keep people entertained, there was daily trips out in the evenings to nightclubs and lots of activities during the day. The food was lovely, lots of choice and the same with the drinks! Something for everyone. And there was food available all the time, breakfast, late breakfast, lunch, dinner, late dinner, midnight soup and snacks round the clock. Would 100% recommend!

The room we received was not thoroughly cleaned. In the bathroom, there was mold on the grout between the tiles. Housekeeping only replaced the towels without cleaning the room or changing the bed linen(only once changed).

There was no lifeguard at the pool for 5 out of the 7 days of our stay.

The restaurant staff started cleaning up and taking food back to the kitchen before the scheduled closing time, which meant that guests arriving towards the end missed out on the full selection — especially at breakfast.

There is to less sunbeds, actually there is no place for more and many people reserved them early, so arriving at the pool around midday meant there were no spots left.

The beach bar did not serve any alcoholic drinks.

The spa staff were quite pushy, repeatedly trying to sell treatments despite me clearly stating I wasn’t interested.

The hotel manager tried to persuade us to leave a very positive review on TripAdvisor — we were invited to her office, asked to hand over my phone, and she began posting the review herself (selecting the highest rating), only asking me to write the comment in my native language.

On the positive side, the animation team was extremely dedicated and gave 110% to make guests’ stay enjoyable. The food was very diverse, so everyone could find something to their liking, and most dishes were tasty. The coffee at the lobby bar was excellent. The bartenders and waiters were always smiling and friendly.

We massively enjoyed our stay here. Rooms were, large, clean and very nice. Service was impeccable and really friendly, in a laid-back way. We really enjoyed the small quiet pool, as well as the beach, which is really only 2 minutes away, with a large area reserved with sun loungers for the hotel guests and an (all inclusive) café of the hotel at the back. There were some annoying rocks under the sand directly there, but that's not a problem because you can just go into the water 50meters or so to the right to avoid them. Food was great. They specialise in tradiitional Turkish cuisine, with everyday a different type of freshly grilled meat, of seafood, plus various types of other traditional (meat and vegetarian) dishes, plus lots of salads and other sides. The one thing we didn't like too much that every evening at the main pool was some sort of animation (from bingo to karaoke to DJ), but we just avoided this and retreated to our balcony. Location was also really nice with lots of shops and restaurants around.

The room was fine, but the bathroom was dirty lots of dirt build up and wasn’t hygienic at all. Considering a lot of people from the UK go there, it would be good if the staff could speak basic English it’s very hard to communicate with them. The food wasn’t overly exciting, I know they can’t control the flies but they were all over the food in the restaurant. The WiFi signal in the room was absolutely terrible, it would even cut out in the room and at the balcony. Location wise it was central to a lot of shops which was good and was very close to the gorgeous beach although I wouldn’t go in the water, it was disgusting. The pool in the hotel was small and not big enough to accommodate everyone.
