Lara is a functional hotel that is mostly visited by couples, families, young adults and group travellers. The hotel offers all-inclusive and self-catering boarding options. This is a destination ideal for travellers looking for a relaxed holiday and somewhere close to beach. Located about 3km from Puerto Rico harbour, Lara is a functional hotel that features 87 bungalows. The hotel is built around three swimming pools and most of the rooms are built overlooking the pools. There is exciting water-sports and other fun-filled activities for guests to relax. You will find few shops and restaurants around the hotel, but the promenade is more promising if you plan to shop and dine—there is a shop inside the complex too.

Location

The beautiful Amadores is also hardly 2km from the complex. Water-sports are undoubtedly fancy and there is a golf course, but if you want something that is adventurous, you can rent a bike and explore the neighbouring towns. Taurito, Lomo Quiebre, Los Caideros and Cornisa del Suroeste are a few towns to mention. The Gran Canaria Airport is about 50km from the property.

Room Types

Lara is a functional hotel that features 87 bungalows. Spacious and modern, these bungalows are designed with kitchenette—electric hob, mini fridge, dining table and chairs, toaster, electric kettle and other kitchenware are part of the kitchen. Adding to it, you will find separate living room furnished with seating area, decorated bedrooms with attached bathroom, balcony, safe deposit box, telephone and other modern facilities. The bungalows also have balcony/terrace, and they are built overlooking the pool area. Housekeeping and fresh towels are provided and linens are changed when requested or needed—you can request for extra bed and crib at the reception.

Food and Drink

The hotel features a restaurant and a bar. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in international buffet style. For breakfast you will find continental items freshly baked, cooked and boiled on the spread and there are plenty of options. But at lunch and dinner, the restaurant serves local and international cuisines with plenty of selections. Non-alcoholic drinks are served at lunch and dinner to compliment the flavours and theme dinners are also regularly organised. In addition, there is a cocktail bar that features an extensive alcohol menu catering to cocktails, mocktails, beer, rum, whiskey and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks—snacks and light meals are also served.

Sports, Games and Entertainment

There are three outdoor swimming pools in the middle of the complex with solarium around the pool. Umbrellas and sunbeds are complimentary—approach the front desk for beach towels and timings. Besides soaking and basking, you can also play table tennis, billiards and darts that are placed around the pool. Anfi Tauro Golf course is about 6km from the hotel, while the two beautiful beaches are about 2km from the hotel. Water-sports, both motorised and non-motorised are promising and they’re quite thrilling. And if you like outdoor sports, such as hiking and trekking, nothing can be better than the barren hills that offer a remarkable view of the surroundings.
