⭐⭐⭐⭐ Monte Carlo Hotel, Alanya (September 2025)

We stayed in Alanya in September 2025 and chose Monte Carlo Hotel 4★. The hotel is located right in the city center — surrounded by bazaars, restaurants, and other hotels. The sea is only about 90 meters away, there’s a shop right across the street, and not far from the hotel there is a panorama with a beautiful view and a scenic coastline.

Our room was for three people — spacious, comfortable, and had a small balcony. Housekeeping was done daily, everything was clean and tidy.

The food at the hotel was very tasty, with a good variety of dishes to choose from.
There are two swimming pools: a small one for children and a larger one for adults.

Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. It’s a bit weak at times, but generally good enough for a relaxing stay.

Special thanks to Leysan at the reception — she is very polite, friendly, and responsible, always ready to help.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The hotel fully met our expectations.

We got put in the worst room possible to begin with. The ‘balcony’ was actually a massive shared terrace so there was no privacy and I didn’t lock. The hotel room door didn’t lock properly and we booked a double room and they gave us an adjoining twin room. The food wasn’t labled so we couldn’t tell what it was, it was all overseasoned, probably to conceal the poor quality of the ingredients. The entertainment was appalling. Just a bunch of adults acting like toddlers. We couldn’t go in the pool because it was freezing cold, in fact for our whole week there the pool was untouched. After complaining about our room and a long wait we got put in a slightly nicer room. It actually had a balcony which had the view of the back of another rundown building. There were many bugs and insects in the room so we couldn’t even relax in there. Overall I would not recommend this hotel and I have learned a valuable lesson that budget holidays are almost always guaranteed to be awful. Do not fall for their advertising or the cheap price.

At the end of July this year, my partner and I spent 7 days at the Monte Carlo Hotel. We paid for all inclusive. We booked it mainly because of the good reviews, which turned out to be a huge mistake.
Right upon arrival, we were given a room that looked nothing like the photos on the hotel’s website or the agency’s page. Tiny, cramped, and honestly more fitting for a 2-star hotel. At the reception desk they tried to excuse it by saying it was a “standard room.” After our complaints, they finally agreed to give us another “standard room,” which was at least slightly better than the first. Wifi in the room was non existant. Air conditioning was properly working.
Turkish coffee? Extra charge. Ice cream? Extra charge. The food wasn’t bad, but the options were limited, repetitive, and nothing to write home about, though edible. The beach bar isn’t owned by the hotel, so if you want alcohol, you’ll be paying for every drink. On the beach, only water, coffee, and juice are free.
The beach itself is nice, sunbeds are free, but here comes the catch: every day at 6 pm, a hotel employee goes around and removes all the cushions from the sunbeds – even if your personal belongings are still on them. So if you’re not standing guard at that moment, you’ll return to find your stuff dumped on the wooden frames you’re then supposed to sit on if you want to stay longer. On his days off, nobody touches the sunbeds, which means: when you see him, you’re done with the beach at 6 pm, whether you like it or not.
For beach towels, you pay a €10 deposit per person, plus €1 per towel per day. Towels can only be exchanged for clean ones every other day.
One evening, we were having beers with friends at the hotel bar. After about an hour and a half, I went to get our third round (four adults in total), and the bartender suddenly told me he could only give me one beer. When I asked why, he admitted that management watches the cameras and calls him. He eventually gave me the beer after I insisted, but I honestly felt sorry for him, it’s clear he’s just another victim of stingy management that believes guests are there for them, not the other way around.
On several occasions, the manager (I assume) was yelling at the waiters in front of guests at the restaurant, very unprofessional. The waiters themselves were polite, though their English was weak. Reception staff? Not so much, especially the dark-haired girl who gave us a hard time when we explained that her colleague promised us a room change. In the end, we had to tell her to call him directly and check.
The rooms were fairly clean. Upon departure, since we checked out in the middle of the night, we asked for a lunch box. What we got was a mess: everything stuffed in one container – sliced ham pressed against a juice box, bread, spread… no packaging, no cutlery, nothing. I guess they expected us to just eat with our hands.
All in all, a very poor experience. I would never return to Monte Carlo Hotel. A fair rating for this place is 2 stars max. If you’re looking for true Turkish hospitality, look elsewhere. Here, the hotel’s philosophy is clearly that you are here for them – not they for you.

Service from hotel was ok and nice employees.
Hotel is too old and not 4 ⭐ . Maximum 2 stars. Beach is dirty. No lunch service  from hotel on beach. Not all Tv channels are  working in room. Never again Alanya and Monte Carlo hotel.

Nice venue, clean hotel. The food was excellent, but the best part of the Hotel is the STAFF! Everbody is friendly and they smiled allday. For Us it was more then 5 star. Thanks for your service all week. Hope we’ll meet again ;-)

When we came last week we were appalled with the food, rooms and entertainment of the hotel. The food was essentially overcooked mush that we found inedible. We had to go out to other restaurants to have lunch and dinner as otherwise we felt like we would starve and there was barely any labels to help identify the food on offer. as you expect for a supposed to be 4* hotel it was not up to standard. We found the hotel staff to be quiet rude as we had a few problems with the room so we raised them and then was questioned about if we had actually looked for the solutions of our problems. for example, we checked in and had no towels provided to us but we got patronised when asking for some. Further more, we could not enjoy the entertainment as it was not on every night and then when it was on we could not understand it as it was mainly in russian or turkish.
