Stayed here for 3 nights in early July. Was perfect for us (3 adults) and exceeded our expectations. Our rooms were well equipped and very clean. Loved the shower gel! Our holiday was very much about sitting around the pool. The lifeguard, who we think was called Evan, did a fantastic job of looking after the pool area. He helped with umbrellas and cleared towels from the loungers if people left them for over an hour, which is fair enough and there are signs clearly stating this will happen. We enjoyed a painting session one evening and a mixology session. Cocktails at the pool were lovely. Pool was very clean but deep in the middle. Breakfast was good with lots of choice. In addition to the pool area there were also sun loungers in the garden areas. Views were good and location was great for the beach and restaurants close by. There were quite a lot of steps within the hotel as it was built into a hill, but there were lots of ramps and the lifts worked well. A couple of times there was a singer at the pool and a DJ played a couple of early evenings, which we enjoyed. Thank you for a lovely holiday

We enjoyed our stay, hotel is in nice calm neighborhood. Nice interior. Rooms are tidy and comfortable. Breakfast bufet has plenty of choice- everything fresh and tasty, magnificent views of the sea while having breakfast or dinner.
Lack of information about activities, we had to ask about every interest of ours. During the diner we missed tea, table water - all at extra charge. Sunbeds are being reserved and there is no place at the pool, others more fancy sunbeds are at extra cost 80Eur. Indoor pool for extra charge. The dinner time from 19:30 was quite late for us

OMG what's happened to what was a fantastic experience at this hotel. In April we returned to the hotel Riviera for the fourth year running. On entering we were very impressed with the refurbished foyer and also the lounge area. Our room was very good with a side sea view and a new bathroom. We eagerly unpacked and enjoyed a coffee in the room from the provided coffee machine and kettle. We then went down to dinner. The dining room had been given a great make over. We were well impressed. We ordered a bottle of wine only to be told that we couldn't sign for it and set up a tab. It had to be cash or card. We then went to the buffet. The choice was very varied and the quality was good BUT the food was only like warm. I looked for a microwave only to be told there weren't any. Good food ruined by being cold was the norm. For the whole two weeks we were there. We then went to the Lounge for the "entertainment " That night it was a large screen showing the international golf. We didn't stay. The next two nights also had big screen golf. The fourth night it changed -- big screen football WOW. One evening there was a singer playing a keyboard. He was quite good but difficult to watch as the big screen right behind him had a football match on. We were so disappointed. In previous years it had really good international acts.. which we thoroughly enjoyed. The lounge never had more than about 20 people in. The loss of revenue at the bar is unimaginable. The management really need to get their act together. We spoke to several other couples who had been going to the Riviera for years but all said the same -- not again. The heart has been torn out of this once "perfect" hotel. So sad.

Stayed here with my partner mid March.
Fantastic hotel, highly recommend.
Location is perfect. The views from the pool area and room balcony are amazing.
Really nice garden area in the rockery overlooking the sea, ⛵🌊. So relaxing, seriously it was fantastic.
The food was delicious, very good variety.
Fresh meat and fish prepared in front of you.
Staff were great, friendly, helpful and funny 🤣.
Definitely worth a visit.
Also the weather was nice a good 22 to 26 during the daytime, it's plenty warm enough in the sunshine.. evening time dips a little so a small jacket is recommended if out late in the evenings.

We have just returned after 5 nights here and the hotel is a mixed bag to be honest.
The reception staff are very robotic and not really helpful at all. The dining room staff are fantastic and are very helpful, as are the bar staff and the cleaning staff.
Lets start with the bad points as there aren't that many to be honest.
* There is little or no hot water after 4pm. Despite going to see R2D2 and company on reception three times, it was never explained or rectified.
* You cannot control the air conditioning and it is constantly cold. Mixed with the cold shower and cold morning wash, it certainly gives you a rustic start to day. I informed Captain Charisma on reception who said there was nothing he could do. (The stock answer)
* The soap in the shower is stuck on the wall and fell off on day one. I informed CP30 on reception and was met with a shrug. It was never refixed
* There is no late check out available or a room to have a shower before leaving for the airport after the beach etc. We thought we would visit and pay for the spa to have a shower but it is only open 4 days a week. Most hotels have a shower available so its a bit disappointing. The terminator on reception told us that the hotel was fully booked, which it clearly wasn't.
* If the hotel WAS fully booked then there is no way there are enough sunbeds. There are large beds available to people that spend a certain amount of money per day though (Exploiting the guests a bit in my humble opinion)

Good points
* The hotel is very clean and being adults only has a very chilled vibe
* The hotel location is perfect with easy access to the beach, harbour and bus stops to Fuengirola etc
* The breakfast selection is excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
* The bar staff are also excellent as is the drinks choice.
Overall the hotel is great apart from some simple quick fixes.
