This hotel absolutely exceeded expectations. After reading a couple of reviews we weren't sure what to expect and came with an open mind, however safe to say we were Absolutely delighted when we arrived. The staff are incredibly friendly, the room was spotless, the views are amazing! And the location is perfect. Highly recommend.

We stayed here for a week we were given a room 214 stuck in a corner views of bins and road noise, I returned to reception and got another room on the 6th Floor which had a lovely view.
The downside was the lift noise was a real pain at 6 every morning.

Room was very dated, bed was comfy and bath towels changed every day and room kepted clean.

The flooring was click style flooring which had gaps and so very noisy walking on it.

Plenty of sun beds as it was November, but again dated and needed a good clean.

Lastly the restaurant was awful was very poor.even soup was either cold and no taste,
Hot plate e.g roast beef, pork, fish you had to wait at times and again not cooked very good.

I definitely won’t be coming back to this hotel .

The room looked a bit tired. Our room was clean upon arrival and also cleaned everyday. The bed was very comfortable. The view was amazing, and the balcony was huge.

We are 2 weeks in from a 3 week holiday and I felt compelled to share our experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were consistently courteous, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Rooms and shared spaces were kept spotless, and the team regularly checked in to ensure guests were comfortable and well looked after.

The pool area was a particular highlight—well maintained, with plenty of sunbeds available throughout the day. Entertainment was lively and continuous, both during the day and in the evenings, with staff always encouraging guests to join in while respecting those who preferred to relax.

A special mention goes to Alexander, the lifeguard, whose thoughtful and respectful interaction with an elderly gentleman at the pool was a clear reflection of the hotel’s professionalism. It was a small moment, but one that spoke volumes.

Unfortunately, not all guests shared the same spirit of consideration. It was disappointing to witness some individuals insisting on monopolising two umbrellas and refusing to compromise without confrontation—something that felt out of place in such a welcoming environment.

On a brighter note, Garry, Saul, and Iman were exceptional throughout our stay. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made a lasting impression and truly elevated our experience.

Highly recommended for those seeking a well-run hotel with genuine hospitality.

We love the Medplaya Hotel Riviera! We have been coming here for over five years. It is set in a wonderful location overlooking the beach and seafront. The staff are friendly and great fun. There is plenty of choice to eat in the dining room. The entertainment staff also are very welcoming and all staff work hard.

This beach-front, luxurious hotel boasts a privileged position on the sea promenade for leisurely walks and right on the Benalmádena marina. Those staying at this up-scale accommodation option will be able to appreciate the varied entertainment and dining offer in the surrounding area. Moreover, Malaga airport is a mere 20 kilometres away from the premises. All the spacious and contemporary guest rooms are the best spaces in which visitors may relax during their stay. They include useful amenities such as tea and coffee making facilities and the superior rooms also offer exclusive welcoming amenities and scenic views from a large balcony. Guests can unwind at the spa and wellness centre and sample delicious international and Mediterranean specialities at the on-site restaurant. The hotel is also provided with a large swimming pool for guests to get a good sun-tan at the deck.
