Staff were absolutely amazing and were extremely helpful and friendly, do expect a bit of a language barrier issue.
Perfect location for walking to the beach, shops and restaurants in the area.
Rooms were almost perfect they just require a bit of a more modern decor and hopefully make the use of the fridge free. Had an amazing stay and highly recommend.

Also the pool and bar area were very clean and spacious.

Before anything the service was excellent, the staff were lovely, kind and very helpful. The food was amazing along with the hotel room. The room was clean and tidy with a fantastic views from the balcony. Would definitely recommend as it was great value; you get your moneys worth!

Excellent location, lovely pool and terrace area to chill out, bar staff around pool very helpful and could fault their service.
The rooms are a little dated although the bed we had was extremely comfortable and the air con was also very good, the breakfast is very basic but you get what you pay for. There’s a sign in reception saying you cannot bring in your own food, water etc but we never had an issue with the staff.

Hotel is not 4 star as suggested when booking. Bedding and towels are old and stained. Hot breakfast is not english breakfast. They charge 5% to pay by card. They don't allow guests to take any food or drink into the hotel. Not even water. Clear sign at reception to remind you. Hotel is dated and in need of refurbishment.  Pool is nice. Cleaners very helpful and clean regularly.

We stayed at the Mavruka Hotel on B&B.
The room was a really good size but the toilet flush, which was a fair size and supposed to be fixed to the wall, kept coming off. We had to keep on putting it back in its place. If it wasn't for the fact that it was attached to some piping inside the wall, it would have come off completely.
There could have been a kettle in the rooms. Everyone was talking about this and was really disappointed that there wasn't one. And there was a daily charge for a little mini fridge. On the positive side,  our towels were changed everyday and the bins were emptied every day.
The breakfast was pretty poor. We expected some continental food, however, considering the guests were all British, you'd expect a little more swaying towards our pallet. The orange juice was not fresh orange but what appeared to be really watered down orange cordial. Some of the crockery was chipped, and when I asked for a cup so I could have a drink of tea, I was told to use the chipped cup, when I informed her about the up being damaged I got a dirty look, she then removed the cup but when I returned to my seat she put the broken cup back out.
There was nothing going on at this hotel to keep its guests spending their money with them, especially during the evening time.
My last little niggle was that everything that was purchased at the bar, whether it be drinks, snacks or meals they had to be paid for at reception.  This is really odd!!
Do the management not trust their staff? Or is this something that hotels do these days?
We paid daily because mistakes were made. And everything was really expensive.
The hotel is rated a 4 star. I don't think this is a correct rating and speaking to other guests, they said the same too.
This hotel could be a little gold mine because it's in a prime location and kept really clean.
The hiccups are little things that can be improved on if they wanted to.

A great hotel and the staff are amazing too. I stayed here 7 nights. We booked two rooms for 7 people, we had one on the ground and one in the 3rd floor. Both were clean and were cleaned throughout our stay. They have 2 pools, a large one and a child one, both were clean and they had an amazing arrangement of inflated floaties for kids to choose from. We stayed bed and breakfast which was a varied buffet with fresh eggs or omelette available. The beach is approx 150 to 200m away so very close. Highly recommended.

I honestly don’t understand how this hotel is rated 4 stars. The overall experience was very disappointing.
•	The rooms were not clean and the decoration is very old.
•	The air conditioning hardly worked, making the stay uncomfortable.
•	The staff were not friendly and at times even rude, which is unacceptable in hospitality.
•	The refrigerator was not free, and even after paying it did not cool properly.
•	No complimentary water is provided in the room, and guests are not even allowed to bring their own water inside.
•	There is no elevator, which makes it very inconvenient for guests with luggage.
•	Even the lobby had no air conditioning, which gave a very poor first impression.

With all these issues, I really cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. Definitely not worth its 4-star rating.

Ticked all the boxes for us. Rooms were clean and the pool area was spotless, the bar staff were so lovely and helpful, always going above and beyond. Good selection for breakfast, good location with a 10 min walk to the beach and good value for money (with the package holiday we used). Would 100% come back to this hotel to stay again.

Just returned from the best holiday I've had and the mavruka hotel was a huge reason for that. All of the staff are friendly and welcoming, plus the hotel and bar/restaurant are great. The manager, Nessie, really goes above and beyond to ensure you have a great stay. Highly recommended.
