Having a perfect stay at Mavruka. My partner and I are here from the UK and after reading some of the negative reviews we were a bit concerned, but having arrived, everything has been perfect! Lovely pool - great temperature, clean, not too busy. Breakfast - beautiful array of Turkish foods, healthy, varied and delicious. Rooms - so nice, clean, and air-con works great. Staff - very friendly and helpful. Pool bar - cold drinks, icecreams, snacks, what more could you want?! Locational - couldnt ask for better (close to everything)!! Will definitely be coming back!

The service at this hotel was extremely disappointing. There were so many unnecessary rules that it honestly felt more restrictive than relaxing.

One of the biggest issues was that guests were expected to buy food and drinks only from the hotel bar if they wanted to eat in their rooms. The prices were far above normal local prices. For example, a bottle of water that usually costs around 10 lira was being charged at 60 lira.

The breakfast was also very poor. The only positive was the omelette station, where you could ask for one to be freshly cooked. Apart from that, the options were very limited and disappointing.

The female manager was particularly rude and unwelcoming. She came across as moody, grumpy, and not suited to a customer-facing role.

There were also extra charges for basic facilities. If you wanted to use the room fridge, there was an additional fee. The safe was also charged in a very unreasonable way. For example, if you took the safe at 9am before going on a full-day activity, the rental period only ran until 12pm, meaning you could end up paying for two days even though you would not return until around 5 or 6pm.

Overall, I would not recommend this hotel. The poor service, excessive rules, inflated prices, and extra charges made the stay very unpleasant.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, with easy access to local attractions, shops, and transport links. The hotel was always clean and well-maintained. The manager does an excellent job of keeping everything organised and running smoothly. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I would happily recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Absolutely terrible experience overall.

The first thing that greets you is a large sign stating that no outside food or drinks are allowed. Naturally, everything sold inside is heavily overpriced, and to make matters worse, there’s an extra charge for card payments.

We arrived at 6pm and had booked two rooms. The first room took around 30 minutes to be “prepared,” while the second took over an hour due to a faulty door locking system. After a long journey, this was an incredibly poor start and showed a real lack of preparation for arriving guests.

Even basic amenities such as the fridge and safe came with an additional charge of £3 per day to use, which feels unreasonable considering the nightly room rates.

Breakfast was also extremely disappointing. There were only two hot food options alongside a handful of cold salad and cheese items, offering very little variety.

Most of the staff were pleasant and helpful. However, the female manager created a very uncomfortable atmosphere. She constantly hovered around us and repeatedly sent staff over with unnecessary rules and restrictions telling us where we could or couldn’t sit after using the pool, where we could walk, and what we could or couldn’t do.

To make matters worse, we hired a safe shortly after midnight, assuming the fee covered a 24-hour period. However, when returning the key, we were charged for two days because their rental period runs from 12pm to 12pm rather than from the time the key is issued. Situations like this completely ruined the experience. A small gesture of goodwill and understanding over what was clearly a misunderstanding would have gone a long way, but instead the situation turned into an argument over an extra charge.

Overall, the hotel seemed far more focused on enforcing rules and maximising extra charges than on providing a welcoming and enjoyable guest experience. Unfortunately, despite the helpfulness of some staff members, this is not somewhere I would return to or recommend to others.

Would not recommend. The main female manager provided some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced and came across as extremely rude and unprofessional.

The hotel also charges guests for basic amenities such as the safe locker and fridge, which is disappointing. On top of that, guests are not allowed to bring their own bottled water, drinks, or food into the hotel, seemingly to force purchases from the hotel at heavily inflated prices.
