We have stayed here 3 times in the last 3 years via the all inclusive. Value for money is very good. The buffet variety is good for vegetarians and the drinks are too a good standard. It is a perfect April/May getaway in Europe. The rooms are spacious and exactly what you need for a 4/5 night stay.
This is not a premium location but if you want to go to the Algarve, have good value for money and come away feeling happy then I would highly recommend The Patio Suite Hotel.

We had a lovely stay at Patio Suite Hotel the apartment was roomy & we'll equipped. We ate at the restaurant & the food was varied & to a good quality. The heated pool is quite small but in November and absolute bonus. The Hotel has a number of comfortable seating areas & bar area. Plenty of sport on TV. Mainly we ate out (no reflection on the hotel restaurant) there are a number of restaurants within 5 mins walk we particularly liked the O Antonio good food reasonably priced & great service. If you hire a car try Salgados beach & there's a brilliant beach bar/café at Gale East one of our favourite spots about 20min drive max, grab a coffee & enjoy.

I highly recommend this hotel! Myself and my family had an amazing stay here this past week. The food is excellent,the staff are amazing and it's in the perfect spot.Just a short drive to the old town and marina,also Praia de Faleisia beach is just a 15 minute walk away and is absolutely beautiful. A  free shuttle bus is available if you don't fancy the walk. We loved our holliday so much,we've already decided we will definitely  return!

No real complaints. I thought the hotel was good value for money. Without sounding like a massive snob, we usually stay in ‘nicer’ hotels. But we were pleasantly surprised with the offering here. Our ‘penthouse’ two bed apartment with roof terrace was ideal for our needs. However, I was very surprised to find the TV’s were smart TV’s. Not ideal in bad weather that we couldn’t user Netflix or stream from our phones.

We were going to stay at Pine Cliffs, but it was so expensive. I’m glad we came here. We dined in Pine Cliffs and found it overpriced and varying quality. I thought the buffet at Patio Suite was generally of a good standard. We had breakfast every day, dinner twice and lunch once.

Food in the south pool bar was not great. The guacamole was a illuminous bright green. Probably zero avocado in it.

The south pool was heated to a nice temperature. I did lengths in the mornings in the colder north pool.

I was disappointed to see that drinks in the bar are served in plastic glasses in the evening. This is unacceptable.

Staff are generally fantastic and very engaging. Particularly in the restaurant. I did find a few of the reception staff a little cold. Particularly the younger women.

Kids club was a nice addition.

There are some ok restaurants nearby. Unfortunately every other restaurant seemed to be a pizzeria but we generally ate well.

We stayed here as a family at the end of April. Generally a very positive experience. The meals were of very high quality compared to many other all inclusive holidays we have been to. The staff are generally very helpful and child friendly (apart from a couple of male staff who were notably rude, including one head of staff at the restaurant - however we tried not to let that ruin our experience). The housekeeping staff were particularly good and even knocked quietly to check if our toddler was still sleeping, and whether we wanted some fresh towels for him. We had the pleasure (!) of experiencing a full day of power cut on our last day. Of course, this was a national issue and not the hotel's fault, they tried their best to keep everything running, including the restaurant. We do feel a bit short-changed as we obviously did not experience the best meals and drinks that day. The hotel itself is a bit far from the old/new town and you will need a taxi/car to get anywhere. There is a shuttle service offered by the hotel, but only to a nearby beach and small town. But it is still a nice touch by the hotel. Nonetheless, we would gladly return to stay at the hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at The Patio Suite Hotel and would happily recommend it to anyone.

Check-in is from 4pm, but we arrived earlier. Our apartment wasn’t ready yet, though the staff were kind enough to store our luggage securely and invite us for lunch in the restaurant while we waited. Shortly after, we got a WhatsApp message letting us know our apartment was ready — a really convenient system, so it’s worth having the app on your phone.

The apartment was spotless, spacious, and had everything we could possibly need. The kitchen was fully equipped with all essentials (cutlery, pans, oven trays, microwave, toaster, kettle, oven, hob, and fridge), so cooking was easy. The bathroom was clean and well-stocked with towels, handwash, and shower gel. There was plenty of storage space, plus a safe, iron, ironing board, hairdryer, and clothes airer. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and there was a flat-screen TV and lots of lighting throughout.

The hotel facilities are also great — there’s a clean pool with a bar, a laundry room (tokens available at reception), and a beach towel service.

The restaurant is elegant, and the staff are friendly and professional. The food selection isn’t huge at lunch and dinner but offers enough variety: pasta, rice or potatoes, meat and vegetarian dishes, salad bar, soups, desserts, fresh fruit, and freshly made pizzas. Drinks include self-serve soft drinks and coffee, or you can order from the bar. The food quality was always good.

A real highlight for us was watching the pizzas being made fresh in front of guests every day. The same chef prepared them with such care and attention to detail — you can tell he takes pride in his work. He’s a real asset to the hotel and deserves recognition for his professionalism and high standards (sorry I didn't get his name).

Breakfast was also tasty, but it can get quite busy later in the morning. We arrived around 9:15 and had to queue for about 20 minutes to get a table, so it’s better to go earlier.

You can also swap your lunch for a picnic basket if you’re heading to the beach. It’s a nice idea, but the portions are a bit small — you can choose a salad, sandwich, dessert, and drink, but the drink sizes (330ml water or 200ml orange juice) could be larger.

The hotel offers a free shuttle service to two nearby beaches daily, to the Old Town on Wednesdays and Fridays, and to the market on Saturdays. You just need to book at reception. They also have a catalogue of excursions like dolphin watching and other tours, all bookable at the front desk. There’s even an ATM on-site for convenience.

There are also various activities such as karaoke, bingo, and Hawaiian necklace making, with schedules displayed by reception.

Overall, we were really happy with everything — clean apartments, good food, friendly staff, and plenty of services and activities. We’ll definitely come back and can highly recommend The Patio Suite Hotel to others!

We had an excellent experience at the patio suite hote, our room was upgraded and the staff were lovely and helpful. The location was great, in a quiet area with a small super market near by and easy to get ubers to different places. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone! They offer a convenient shuttle service to and from the beach and we really appreciated the handy laundry machines.

A great hotel and lovely staff. Pool was packed daily (summer hols) with lots of sun-bed saving, didn’t bother us as we visited the beach most days.
We self catered and apartment had basics which was fine, as we ate out most nights.
Great that pool towels were provided and brilliant maid service daily.
A little distant from places but there are restaurants to walk to and the beach not far at all. Also shuttle bus available too.
