The rooms are dated, but acceptable, our cleaner was decent. Grounds are really well maintained - nice to see grass in Egypt! The beach and snorkeling are great. That's the good stuff.

The single restaurant was a massive let down. Queues are all over the place, with you often getting to the front to find what you were queuing for, just emptied. Do you wait for the tray to be refilled, or join another queue? Lots of guests pushing in, but I mostly blame the hotels management for this chaos. First day or two I had staff telling me I had enough meat on my plate. It was only after being hostile(sorry guys), that staff stopped trying this approach with me: I'm 6ft 2 and 13 stone - I wasn't being greedy. Again, I blame the management for this, as I'd imagine staff were told to do this to guests. There's obviously upsides to staff serving (no children's fingers) but on an inclusive holiday, it's not appropriate to exercise portion control on guests. The food was also very repetitive.

The restaurant opens 7pm - 10pm for the evening meal. The rush at 7, is utter chaos. Clearly people are waiting to eat - maybe 6-9, would be a more sensible way of getting an inadequately sized dining room, to cope with the amount of guests.

The balconies are also lacking: the hotel is overrun with crows scavaging for food and rubbish. The balconies are mostly covered with a bit of tressle that the birds like to perch on before pooping on your head or towels. Floor, seats, table - all covered in poop.

I personally would never go again, but may suit others with low expectations, and if at a good price.

My stay at Lotus Bay Safaga was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. The food was horrible – completely tasteless, repetitive, and of very poor quality. Every day it was the same boring options, and nothing felt fresh or appetizing. On top of that, the staff constantly asked for tips, which was very uncomfortable and unprofessional.
The rooms were in terrible condition – dirty, with broken furniture, old bathrooms, and an overall feeling of neglect. At night the water was often cut off, which made it impossible to shower or even use the toilet. This is simply unacceptable for any hotel.
The surroundings were just as bad. There were many crows everywhere, making it impossible to relax outside. The sea had a very unpleasant smell, and the beach was not clean at all. The pool was the only thing that was okay, but it cannot make up for everything else.
The service was minimal – most staff seemed uninterested unless you gave them money. Overall, the entire place felt run-down, poorly managed, and not worth even a fraction of the price.
I would never return here and strongly advise others to avoid this hotel. There are far better and cleaner options in Safaga and the Red Sea area.

It was my first time in Egypt and the thing is that I would not recommend it for girls traveling without male companion. It is hard to distinct kindness from flirting.
I’m rating 3 stars only because the beach and the sea are really beautiful.
When it comes to food I can say the quality was not good.
After dinner you literally don’t have anything to do, there is some kind of show from the animation team, but nothing special.
Also, something positive I can say is that the rooms are cleaned every day and they leave bottled water.

The only thing i can say about the hotel is OK.
The food, rooms, service, beach, pool, are all OK and fine. They are not bad in way, but there is significant room for improvement.
The sea is beautiful and warm, make sure to bring snorkeling gear and a waterproof case. And for any trips or excursions please consult yourself with mr. Amir from a shop named 1001. Right across the street, just exit the hotel via the main doors, cross the zebra cross walk and 10 meters to the right you'll se him. Bald man with a mustache sitting outside under a big sign reading 1001. He sells creams and teas  and other traditional natural medication, also bags if you're into that. And Luxor, Cairo, Diving, and safari trips please ask him and talk to him, he is not a haggling man, he doesn't push you to buy stuff. I made a grave mistake but not meeting him earlier.

Excellent for the money value! Best beach in region. Clean rooms, welcome staff whith big smile! 5 more stars for the cats around the hotel! I'll be back and stay again

Stayed: 10 nights
The rooms are outdated and in need of renovation. The toilet was not properly cleaned, and the shower door was broken, not closing as it should. We weren’t supplied with soap or shower gel on a daily basis. The air conditioning, which seemed decades old, was broken from day one. Instead of relaxing, we spent the first three days repeatedly complaining at reception before the issue was resolved — three days without AC in the Egyptian heat was unbearable.
Staff were generally unfriendly, giving the impression they didn’t want to be there. At times, they ignored requests for drinks at both the bar and the restaurant.
Entertainment was completely lacking — nothing at all for the entire 10‑day stay. The food was acceptable, but nothing memorable.
The highlights were the sandy beach, beautiful sea view, and well‑kept garden. Unfortunately, the beach experience was diminished by guests leaving belongings to “reserve” loungers all day without using them.
Overall rating: 2 stars.
