Things To Keep In Mind

Okay so I will start with the Excellent points
ALL of the staff are very kind and helpful especially berk hotel manager and efe. Service was brilliant and any queries/problems were quickly resolved

All of the other staff were knowledgable and speak great English. They could recommend good places to eat and visit aswell and transport around was very easy, taxi were cheap to hisaranu and oludinez costing 200TL each way, the is a bus also which I think costs 40TL each way, but only used once.

Decor wise the lobby is welcoming and clean. Unfortunately the hotel rooms are just a little tired, and could just do with a “lick of paint” so to say, however that is quickly forgotten about when you wake up to the spectacular view from the room every morning and the friendly staff so I could look past this.

3 swimming pools, all cleaned daily and has a bar close by where you will find Alperen the friendly barman there to make you your favourite cocktail! We had good fun experimenting with different flavours, non-alcoholic of course! Try the N/A peach/cranberry colada!

Overall 4* great location just out of the hustle and bustle of the towns and nightlife, scenic, good for families, great staff, clean hotel and reasonably priced.

The hotel is located in a great area. The staff is friendly. The reason for giving 4 stars is only because the cleanliness was not up to the hotel’s level. The hotel itself is very good, but the cleanliness could be better. If a bit of dust doesn’t bother you and you don’t expect everything to be perfectly clean, then everything is fine.

The room we got had direct access to the pool and a perfect view of the mountains. The view is beautiful. The pools are clean, and breakfast is also good. The only small downside is the cleanliness.

Another minor downside is that both in the room and at breakfast they use cardboard cups instead of porcelain or glass ones — it looks a bit cheap.

It is a great hotel ,if you like to be close enough to beach but also like to be away from noice .It has great location 100mt from cable car and great wiew of Ölüdeniz.
We spent 5 night here and didmt have any problem.Service and staff were great.Big thanks to Yağmur who is looking after breakfast & dining area.She is the most attentive and kind person.
Big thanks to the kitchen staff too.Food were exellent.

An honest review for king royal palace. My family, a couple of friends and I booked this hotel September 2025. We came to oludeniz for a wedding and booked here to stay for a week.
There are some lovely points to the hotel but also very disappointed in some areas.
Upon arrival the hotel reception area is lovely, clean and great views.
We were taken to our jacuzzi room which on the surface was okay but upon closer inspection was not very clean. Lots of dried blood on balcony and dirty towels to name a few issues.
One of our party had a swim up room which again looked okay but upon closer inspection the bathroom door had a punch hole in and room was damp and in need of quite a bit of work doing.
The pool area itself is really lovely. Views are gorgeous and always plenty of sun beds.
The bar area was a let down. Was not open half of the time and if it was the staff did not know how to make any of the cocktails on the menu. They ran out of beer and wine on multiple occasions and just said no if we asked for something.
The location was also a let down. It is situated on a very busy dual carriage way so you cannot walk down to oludeniz. You have to get taxis everywhere which are only 200 lira but we did not realise that we could not walk anywhere. We would not have booked this hotel if we knew this as we have two young children in prams and was a faff getting in and out of taxis. This is something that should be stated on all websites.
Breakfast was not great either but good selection of bar snacks for lunch.

The Worst Hotel Experience of Our Lives – King Royal Palace Hotel Ölüdeniz, Fethiye

If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would. Staying at King Royal Palace Hotel Ölüdeniz was hands down the most disgusting, frustrating, and disappointing hotel experience we’ve ever had.

Let’s start with the building itself: the walls and ceilings are covered in mold and mildew, the air feels damp and mucky, and the ceilings in the lobby and hallways literally drip water. The walls show obvious patches of water damage and amateur repairs, and the smell of mold hits you the moment you step inside. It’s nauseating.

After just one night in that room, my wife developed a stuffy nose, a bad cough, and felt sick—all clear signs of irritation from the moldy, humid air. According to the CDC and EPA, breathing mold spores can cause nasal congestion, coughing, throat irritation, and even respiratory inflammation, especially for people sensitive to allergens or damp environments. This isn’t just unpleasant—it’s unhealthy. No guest should be made to breathe in that kind of air.

Now to the staff: absolutely the worst customer service we’ve ever encountered. Their go-to response for everything is, “I can’t do anything.” The bellboy, Emet, broke the handle of my carry-on while taking it to the room. When I reported it to the front desk, they said he claimed it was already broken. I asked them to check the cameras—since the handle wasn’t broken in the lobby yet and still functioning, where cameras are clearly visible—and the receptionist said she can’t. I asked to speak to a manager, and surprise: the manager is never there. They told me to email (which we already did before arrival with no reply) or leave a WhatsApp number for the manager to contact us later—completely useless since we were checking out. It’s been a couple of days and no one has contacted us yet.

When we asked to change rooms due to the wet bathroom, moldy smell, and mucky air, we were told, “Sorry, fully booked. All rooms are like this.” That’s actually what they said—all rooms are like this. The sink was clogged, and the so-called technician “fixed” it by removing the drain cover and leaving it on the counter. The toilet never stopped running, the seat was always wet, and the sink tap sprayed water everywhere, soaking your clothes and flooding the floor. It was so disgusting we didn’t even feel comfortable showering.

Breakfast and lunch were mediocre at best, and the service was laughably poor. I asked for Turkish coffee (fully aware it’s an extra charge), and the staff repeatedly told me it’s not available at breakfast. After going back and forth three times, they finally agreed to “get it” for me, but their tone made it clear they’d rather I fetch it myself. How hard is it to bring a paying guest a cup of coffee?

To make matters worse, the walls have zero soundproofing—you can hear every conversation, cough, and TV from the next room. Forget getting a peaceful night’s sleep.

The only positive thing about this hotel is the view—and that’s it. Everything else was an absolute disaster. The property is poorly maintained, the staff couldn’t care less, and the conditions are unhealthy.

Save yourself the stress, the sickness, and the disappointment. Avoid King Royal Palace Hotel at all costs. Even a cheap hostel would be a better choice than this place.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. Don’t be fooled by the nice photos or promises of a “great view.” Yes, the view looked nice — but the room itself was disgusting. The walls were full of mold, and the smell was awful. When we told the staff about it, they completely ignored us at first and acted like it wasn’t a big deal. Only after repeatedly insisting did they finally move us to another room — which was tiny, dark, and nothing like what we paid for.

The pool was also just dirty, and had cigarette butts floating in the water,

The manager never apologized, never offered any compensation, and didn’t seem to care about how terrible our stay was.

We actually felt sick after staying in that moldy room. Do yourself a favor and don’t stay here. The pictures online are completely misleading. This place needs better management, and respect for guests.
