We stayed at the hotel for a week. Everything was satisfactory overall, it was just the wrong time of year for a holiday. It was very cold and rainy some days. There are plenty of activities available, but no animation team was visible. Every evening there was only music. The staff were mostly friendly and very accommodating. Mr. Mahir and Mrs. Dilek, as well as Umut and Emine, deserve special praise. They were always very attentive and helpful.

Incredible place with everything around. There are two beaches, one better for snorkelling and observing the marine life. The pool is amazing, big enough with shallow areas for kids and a bit colder water than the sea. The food is great, each evening different type of cuisine. Rooms very comfortable and clean, friendly stuff, air conditioning working well.

My vacation at Oz Resort Incekum in Turkey was the best holiday of my life! We were 31.08-05.09 However, the cleanliness of the rooms needs improvement. The staff were friendly, the food was delicious, and I would gladly come back. They just need to improve the room standards, as there was some dust on the bathroom products.

Thank You for amazing stay in October. That was the second time we've visited this hotel. Especially many thanks for Seyfettin for seeing guest's needs and taking into account their well-being and comfort. See You again with the same smile on our faces!

A Beach Resort Stuck in a Time Capsule – Bring Imodium, Not Expectations

Stayed: 24.08 – 02.09
Room: Standard (upgraded for €20/day – worth it!)

Let’s start with the positives:

The staff and people at the hotel were genuinely nice and helpful — big thumbs up for friendliness!

The beach itself was nice (in theory).

The Efes beer? Cold, refreshing, and possibly the only drink worth having.

The coffee bar was a hidden gem – genuinely good coffee, a rare win.

The room upgrade (€20/day) gave us an extra bedroom – totally worth it.

Now for the... “vintage charm.”

The hotel was clean, but extremely dated. The room door looked like it had survived a zombie apocalypse – peeling, badly fitted, and with visible gaps around the frame. In the bathroom, there was clearly once a hanger – just a faint outline of it remains.

Pool towels were yellow-ish in theory, but ranged from “baby duck” to “dishwater sadness.” A full spectrum of disappointment.

The Gym: A Safety Hazard in Disguise

Poor quality machines

Dumbbells only went up to 15kg

Cables too short to do most exercises properly

Tiny space, no air conditioning – more sauna than gym

And the Smith machine? Actually dangerous

The hooks wouldn’t catch when rotating the bar

They were misaligned and could spin freely
In short: it wasn’t just useless — it was a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Air Conditioning

Room A/C worked great (a rare win).

Lobby A/C? On for a few hours a day, couldn’t handle the 40°C+ heat.

Drinks: Disaster Zone

Cocktails were awful and wildly inconsistent – we ordered four White Russians, got four different drinks

Even simple drinks like Cuba Libre were undrinkable

Our friend who loves sugary drinks couldn’t finish hers – and she never leaves drinks behind

Pool bar served only these sad concoctions – no beer at all, which is insane given the heat

Also, getting a drink at all – even a Fanta or a soft drink – meant standing in line. No self-serve, no free-pouring. Want a cold Coke? Get ready to queue like it's a theme park.

Entertainment & Activities

Evening shows: fine.

Aqua aerobics: had variety, but most exercises required pool noodles — and there were maybe five for the whole resort.

Food: A Race Against the Clock

Selection was okay if you arrived right when service started

Dinner lasted two hours, but after the first hour it was mostly scraps

Items that ran out were rarely refilled

Snack bars were supposed to be open until 18:30, but stations often closed early

Baked potatoes gone by 15:00

Hamburgers were… well, technically food, but barely.

Beach & Cleanliness

The beach looked nice at first glance…

But we kept seeing rubbish washing up – not just plastic, but all sorts of trash: wrappers, cups, even broken items

Really spoiled the experience

Location

The hotel is completely isolated

No shops, no walking areas, nothing to explore

If you want to go anywhere, you’ll need a taxi – €13 one way to the bazaar

Health Concerns

Here’s the big one:
Out of six of us, five had serious stomach issues, including diarrhea that lasted for days. Not the kind of souvenir you want to take home.
So yes – bring Imodium. In bulk.

Verdict:
If you want a beach, cold Efes, and don’t mind upgrading your room — fine.
But if you expect hygiene, drinkable cocktails, modern facilities, and safe gym equipment?
This is not the place.

With this price tag, you can do much better elsewhere.

### Overbooked, Moldy Rooms, and Poor Service – Avoid This Hotel ###

Disappointing Stay at OZ Hotel Incekum – Not as Advertised

#Check-in Experience

We arrived late at night, around midnight, and were told at reception that the hotel was overbooked and no rooms were available, even though we had reserved and paid in advance for a superior double room (as shown in their pictures). After insisting, especially since we were traveling with a small child, they eventually offered us a room in an annex building at the edge of the property. Unfortunately, this room looked nothing like the advertised ones — it had wooden floors, a strong moldy smell, and overall felt completely different from what we booked. We refused to stay there and returned to reception. The staff member on duty seemed annoyed at being disturbed and said we had to wait for the manager. After several requests and even giving a tip, the manager finally agreed to arrange another room, but we had to wait another hour for it to be cleaned.

#Room Conditions

By 1:00 AM we were given a room on the ground floor/basement level, centrally located in the complex. While closer to the style advertised online, the room was still heavily worn, with outdated finishes, poor ventilation, and visible mold in the bathroom. The cleaning was superficial, and despite asking for a deeper cleaning, we were told the housekeeping staff was gone for the night. The next day the cleaning was improved slightly, but traces of dampness, broken items, and musty smells remained throughout our stay. The bed was uncomfortable, old, and lumpy; the pillows were worn and retained heat. We requested replacements but none were available. Air conditioning was poorly positioned directly above the bed, making it impossible to use at night. Under the bed, we found dust, spider webs, and general dirt, which had clearly not been addressed in a long time. Mosquito screens were not properly sealed, so insects often got inside. On top of that, the noise isolation was very poor, making the nights quite restless.

# Food & Restaurant

The food was repetitive and of average quality, far from the standard expected for this category of hotel. The restaurant itself was extremely hot, with only a small area offering air conditioning — the rest of the space was uncomfortable to dine in. Service was inconsistent; waiters often expected tips in order to serve you, and even when given, this “favor” did not carry over to the next meal.

#Beach & Facilities

The beach area was small, crowded, and poorly arranged, with sunbeds placed directly next to one another, leaving no sense of privacy or comfort. The overall hotel environment appeared unkempt and not well maintained.

# Positive Aspects
On a brighter note, the snack bars and the café "Chez Lavinia" were pleasant, with friendly staff and better service compared to the main restaurant. We found ourselves spending more time there as it felt more relaxed and welcoming.

#Overall Impression

Despite a few positive points, our experience at OZ Hotel Incekum was overwhelmingly disappointing.

The issues with overbooking, the poor state of the rooms, lack of cleanliness, uncomfortable sleeping conditions, repetitive food, and generally neglected facilities overshadowed our holiday.

Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this hotel, especially for families traveling with children or anyone expecting a comfortable and relaxing stay.
