Things To Keep In Mind

My personal experience at this hotel was fantastic. The waiters are always friendly, and the food is always freshly refilled. I was most impressed by the pool bar. I felt very welcome there. The waiter, David, in particular, is one of the friendliest waiters I've ever met; a great guy, and the mojitos he made were outstanding. Thank you for this wonderful time at the hotel; it was truly lovely.

Lovely weekend away on a girls holiday with my sister. Hotel is spotlessly clean, staff are all very friendly and accommodating. Beds are comfortable and rooms modern.
Special mention for David at the bar, always smiling and happy to help, great service!
Location of the hotel is perfect for a walk along the breach into town or in the nature reserve.

Having stayed at various  Iberostar hotels over the last 30 years, we were looking forward to visiting Waves Cala Millor, our second holiday at an Iberostar Waves hotel.
Unfortunately we were very disappointed. Iberostar Waves  is the budget level of their brands (Joia, Prestige and Selection being the others ). The hotel itself is situated in a scenic part of the town with fantastic views.

Positives:
The staff.   Receptionists  who facilitated our  move from a  lower floor  room which was overlooked , to an upper floor.
Restaurant staff who made everything work.
Spotlessly clean throughout.
Great pool (although very cold in September, for most)  if you enjoy a proper swim.
Beach 2 mins walk
Water dispensers throughout
Great views from upper rooms.
Negatives : Llttle  atmosphere inside or outside the  hotel, it's a bland and
unwelcoming. Corridors are narrow
If you enjoy sitting in a sunny spot by the pool it can be difficult to get a sunbed as much of it sits in shade throughout the day.
People secure sunbeds early on, only using  them for a few hours later in the day.
A general problem which is not unique to this hotel is the residents using their phones on loudspeaker, sharing noisy  personal  conversations in the bar or by the pool.

Entertainments 'Fit and fun' guy wanders around looking miserable,  talking to colleagues.
Rooms are whitewashed and although a generous size lack any charm, which is a theme continued throughout the hotel.
Pool bar and restaurant  akin to a Holiday Inn with regard to ambience.
Buffet food is bland. An example is the powdered cheese used in the omlettes, which is tasteless. Will suit those that enjoy their food plain and simple.
There is no on site parking, so you have to find a space on the surrounding streets, which is not usually a problem.

Overall I'm left with the impression  that you can do a lot better for your money.
I appreciate that there are many who would enjoy this hotel, which is reflected in the in other reviews, but it just feels like a Holiday Inn by the sea.
Iberostar's own star is in its descendancy. The competition  ( including  Melia and H10) have upped their game.

Isaac was absolutely outstanding during our visit. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. His genuine smile and positive attitude made our experience even more enjoyable. It’s rare to find such professional and warm service. Isaac truly goes above and beyond. Highly recommend asking for him if you’re dining here!

My first time at an Iberostar hotel. I cannot praise this hotel enough.
On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff and the offer of chocolates and wine. Everything was explained clearly to us
Our room was beautiful,  so clean and spacious with top quality  cotton bedding.
Chilled mineral water is available on the corridor  outside your room, simply fill the lovely decanter from your room.
We had the Side Sea View room which actually  gave a fabulous  full sea view.
30 minute's  after arriving  in the room we received  a call from reception asking if everything was to our satisfaction.  I requested  extra pillows which arrived 10 minute's later.
The food here is 5 star standard, beautifully presented.
All the staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing is to much trouble for them.
The pool area is great, plenty of comfortable loungers and parasols. The pool area is cleaned thoroughly  on a regular basis.
It is just a short walk along a private path to the beach.
Nearly forgot to mention the amazing indoor pool, Sauna,Gym and Spa.
This hotel is maintained  to a high standard by caring and professional  staff.
I cannot wait to return
