We were pleasantly surprised by Eden Nord! We had very low expectations based on reviews and knew that the rooms would be old. They definitely need updating, but weren’t as bad as I had feared.

The pros:
- seriously BEAUTIFUL views!
- location! we actually preferred being a little walk away from all the action. 5 mins and you’re right by the water. It was perfect!
- we had booked a room with extra bed for our kids. We expected a fold out bed, but instead we got a huge room with two bedrooms. It was great!
- the common areas of the hotel were very nice and modern

Cons:
- the shower was terrible and I spotted mold in the bathroom.
- the fridge in the room didn’t cool
- the breakfast looked impressive but the quality wasn’t very good
- the beds were not particularly comfortable

If Eden Nord can fix up the rooms it will become an exceptional hotel. But for now it’s a very decent option, if you keep your expectations low in regards to the rooms. The views will make up for a lot!

Highly recommended. The room is great; we got a basic room with a view of the wall. But, the wall is more than great. There are coffee, tea, and water as a welcome gift. You even have body lotion in the bathroom. Breakfast and dinner had lots of variety. Very clean hotel without noise.

Amazing breakfast and room with balcony view!!! They have a storage room that allowed us to extend our day for the beach after checking out and also have private showers in the downstairs gym. Lovely experience and people here 🥰

My second stay at Hotel Eden Nord and definitely not my last. I am a frequent visitor to Port de Soller due to its proximity to beautiful mountain hikes and cycling and have stayed at most of the hotels that cater to ‘outdoorsy’/solo travellers - this is the best of those by far. The single occupancy rooms are not an afterthought - they have balconies with mountain/sea(ish) views, large beds and are clean, spacious and very comfortable. The service I have received has always been great and the food is varied and delicious. I always go half-board for the convenience but because it is such good value I also don’t mind fore-going the evening meal to dine out some nights - square pizzas and the special nachos at Minibar CAN NOT be missed when in Port de Soller! The only downside I can imagine is that those who are less able-bodied may struggle with the hilly location.

Have recently returned from Eden Nord and have a few points that I hope the hotel will take on board / help other travellers. I did so want to like this hotel and there are very positive points to it but the service and attitude of the staff completely let it down. We are a quiet couple, and keep to ourselves but always friendly. This friendliness was not returned by the staff and we felt very unwelcome. We could not work out whether they didn't like their job or they didn't like tourists. One saving grace was the hotels night manager who was always a pleasure, checked us in with a smile, always helpful and always helped my partner with milk and bits for the room. It's a shame the rest of the staff did not display the same courtesy. The bar staff seemed disgruntled most of the time, it felt like you were asking them a favour to make you a drink. As part of our package we were to receive a bottle of wine and to ask for this in the restaurant. One such server (older lady) seemed put out and when I asked for glasses to go with the wine, had to write it down who I was and where I was taking them as if I was going to pinch them. The worst was a small man who told my partner off when he asked for tea for the room. Ours had not been replenished and he literally told him off for asking. What kind of service is this??? It really let the efforts of the pleasant night shift manager down.

Moving onto the hotel, the refurbishment is lovely, the lounge is always cool and a nice place to sit, the pool area always clean and tidy. A little on the small side for us swimming wise so if you enjoy a swim maybe go elsewhere as it was really just to cool off but a nice place to sit with full sun for the day. I would advise to hotel to replace one of the broken straw umbrellas and this blew all over the decking on a breezy day.

Restaurant wise we did not dine in but did have breakfast. Though the buffet is plentiful, it was not to my taste and rather lacking in quality ingredients. Faux orange juice, not nice quality pastries etc. Plenty of fruit though and appreciated the omelette chef along with cheese toasties so you can make do just could be better. I did not appreciate the sign saying no food was the leave the dining room as it felt like school. We like to take some fruit for later in the day and an extra coffee up to our room after breakfast but we felt like we would be told off.

Room wise they are old but we did not mind this at all, they were very very clean! Nothing was broken or damaged in our room, the bed and pillows were comfortable and happy to have a fridge and aircon. I didn't mind the room at all, the balcony had a lovely view of the mountains. The corridors can be a little noisy but to be expected on tile floors.

Location wise it was fine for us but elderly and those less able may find the small incline to the hotel more bothersome. Great shops and bars right around and steps out right next to the tram stop. Also handy for walking up to the jumeirah for drinks or Bikini Island or nautilus restaurants. We enjoyed David and friends at Bar es canto which is just outside the hotel, always a friendly local welcome.

My favourite part was the fitness centre and sauna. Loved the cold water drop & heated beds. This has been completed to a very high standard and if you are a gym goer you will appreciate this. We also found this helpful on our last day to use the facilities to freshen up before travelling home.

Overall I would recommend eden nord for what it is, a nice hotel in a handy location on the cheaper end of the scale for Port de Soller. I just think the attitude of the staff and unwelcoming feel let it down because it did have some nice points to it.

Highly recommend staying at the Eden Nord. It is a short (5 minute) walk from the seafront where there are lots of choices of restaurants and shops. The breakfast is really good, as is the bar area! The pool is small but lovely, with plenty of loungers. The gym is great, and cell air conditioned. The staff couldn’t have been nicer! I’ll be back!
