We had a fantastic stay! The hotel is very kid-friendly, offering a great combination of price and value. There were different activities for all ages, including evening shows, which kept everyone entertained.

A special thank you to animator Anna — my daughter absolutely loved the mini disco and enjoyed the t-shirt coloring activity. It’s wonderful to see staff so engaged and enthusiastic with children.

Perfect location.
By arrival our room was overbooked.
And we needed to pay extra for another room.
But hotel is super.
Nice room and great food and friendly service.
We will come back.

I rarely write reviews, but my experience at this hotel leaves me no choice. Over the course of my stay, I repeatedly encountered service ranging from poor to outright unacceptable. Several staff members — including the PR manager — displayed a tone and behaviour that I would describe as unprofessional at best, and in certain instances, entirely inappropriate.

One incident in particular involved both the PR manager and pool staff behaving in a way towards children that multiple parents, including myself, immediately flagged as crossing clear boundaries. These concerns were not taken seriously at the time.

At times, the atmosphere made it feel as though guests — especially those with children — were not genuinely welcome. Despite the hotel marketing itself as family-friendly, the reality is very different: more adults than children take part in “children’s activities,” and the environment does not reflect a safe or engaging space for younger guests.

If you are travelling with children, I would strongly recommend considering other options.

To the PR manager: please do not reply with the standard “we are sorry to hear this and will take it into consideration.” Such a response would only confirm the core problem — words without action.

All generation can have a good time in this hotel. My 2y.o. son enjoyed the kids pool and  the playground outside. Also breakfast and dinner buffet were very good and fair price.
Finally we had dinner buffet for 3 nights during 5days.

The location is very party area and there are so many drunk people on the beach and street. So not comfortable to go there with small kids. But we can take bus easily to go anywhere.

Nice hotel. Only reason not 5 stars is that there were a few hotel policies which didn’t sit well with me for a hotel of this standard. E.g. got told by the reception that the on-street parking is paid and that I should instead use their 10 euro per day car park. In fact it’s free on the street outside the hotel. Also they ask you buy coffee pods for 1 euro per pod to use the machine in your room.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The facilities were very well maintained, the staff was extremely friendly, and the rooms were spotless. The breakfast was absolutely outstanding — one of the best we’ve ever had. There were always plenty of sunbeds available by the pool, and fresh towels were provided daily for the loungers. We also really appreciated that there was no hassle with guests reserving sunbeds with towels; everything was well organized.

The only downside we noticed was that the floor around the pool was very slippery. Although signs were in place, it was still dangerously slick, even when wearing slippers.

Despite being located very close to a lively nightlife area, the hotel itself was not noisy at all. Our room was at the front side and very peaceful. One tip though: try to avoid a room directly above the breakfast restaurant, as the sound of chairs being moved is clearly audible in the mornings.

Overall, an excellent hotel that we would highly recommend!

We had an amaizing experience. All the services were the best. The food was very good, the cleaning services were the best (the towels were changed daily, the room was cleaned daily). We came late in the evening and we found the dinner in the room. We made the check out at almost 11 AM, but we left at 7 PM. We had the possibility to make a shower before leaving.  We will come back for sure.

Location:
You can easily walk to Palma beach in just 5 minutes. The beach is absolutely stunning with its turquoise color and soft sand — it truly amazed us. You can rent two sunbeds and an umbrella for €18. The hotel is less than a 10-minute taxi ride from the airport. There are many small local supermarkets around the hotel, but I wouldn’t recommend them since they are overpriced and have limited variety. Instead, I suggest walking 10 minutes to the Mercadona market — it has a wide selection and reasonable prices. Since we were traveling with our 18-month-old baby, we couldn’t join the nightlife, but there are plenty of places to party near the hotel.

Room:
The room was absolutely beautiful. It was very spacious and the furniture looked new. I also watched how thoroughly they cleaned a room after a guest checked out, and our room was cleaned nicely every day. There is a mini-bar in the room, but it’s completely empty. It would’ve been nice to have at least a few items available in it. We were right near the party places but sound isolation was good enough for blocking them. I can’t say the same for internal sound isolation. For couple of nights, our neighboring rooms made some noise and we were disturbed.

Food:
Dinner had great variety overall. For a buffet, it was about as good as it gets. I wasn’t expecting 10/10 food from a buffet, but I’d rate it around 7–8. Breakfast had slightly less variety, but it wasn’t a problem for us.
The only negative observation I had was that one of the buffet staff used the same tongs for raw chicken and then served cooked meat with them — a serious Salmonella risk. I won’t claim this as the definite cause, but I did get food poisoning one day and I believe it might have been due to this. I’m just sharing this as feedback and won’t reflect it in my rating since we had an otherwise great week. I hope the hotel addresses this issue.

For families with children:
This hotel isn’t fully tailored for children, but there were still enough activities to satisfy us. For example, there’s a playroom you can take your child to at any time of day. Even though our baby is quite young, the staff at the mini-disco in the evenings made every effort to ensure he had fun — they played and danced with him. There’s also a small children’s pool and a section of the large pool that’s about 40 cm deep, where our son had a great time.

Staff:
The hotel staff were truly friendly and cheerful. They always smiled at our son and tried to play with him. Everyone was kind and welcoming throughout our stay.

Conclusion:
We left very happy after our 8-day holiday. A big thank you to Hipotels Gran Playa de Palma for making it such a great experience. Hope to see you again one day!
