Looks charming, but the reality is disappointing

The hotel’s Spanish-style architecture might catch your eye, and the pool is large and rarely crowded — we always found loungers, which was a small win. The hotel was also very clean. No spots to be found anywhere. But beyond that, the experience was frustrating.

The rooms are extremely noisy when you have a room in the main building. You’ll hear everything from the hallway and neighboring rooms, making sleep nearly impossible.

We read on their website that there was a dress code for evening dining, so we packed accordingly. Turns out, the only requirement was wearing shoes — no dress code in sight. What’s advertised online doesn’t match reality.

Communication was another major issue. Staff spoke only French and assumed everyone else did too. No English support at reception or elsewhere. The clientele is almost entirely French, and the vibe is more retirement home than holiday resort.

The food was the worst part: cold, repetitive, and bland. It often tasted undercooked and looked unappealing. Definitely not something to look forward to.

Unless you’re fluent in French, don’t mind noise, and have very low expectations for food and service, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, but the reception staff weren’t as friendly as I’ve experienced in other hotels. On the bright side, the room service and restaurant staff were much nicer and more welcoming.

If you’re not French, you might find it hard to enjoy the hotel’s activities and entertainment — most of it seemed geared mainly toward French-speaking guests. The drinks by the pool were pretty basic, nothing memorable. The food was okay overall — some dishes were good, others not so much.

One of the most frustrating things was that almost everything came with an extra charge. I had to pay €5 just to use an iron, plus a €10 deposit — honestly, it didn’t feel worth it. If you want a mini-fridge in your room, you have to pay extra for that too. And you’re not allowed to take your room towel to the pool, so I had to buy a new towel from the hotel just to use by the pool.

The phone in the room didn’t work, and the maintenance team came in without any notice during our afternoon rest. They stayed for two hours, and in the end, the phone still wasn’t fixed.

Compared to other hotels I stayed at in Granada and Seville, this one really didn’t measure up.

The staff are extremely rude! Unbelievable how unhelpful the staff actually were. Me and my partner booked a double room with a double bed only to be put in a room with 2 single beds and the staff refused to move us even though that's what we had already paid for.

The cleaners stole 70 euros of my money and again reception did absolutely nothing about it. Didn't even get an apology instead got shouted at by the rude women at reception. I requested no cleaners are to come in our room for the rest of the time we was there. Only to find one of the cleaners trying to come in my room the very next day.

Everything at the hotel is french even though it's in spain. including the staff, the music, the entertainment. Absolutely nothing here for british people.

I previously left this review and they have taken it down, clearly they don't want people knowing about my money been stolen by the cleaners or the fact how rude the staff are. Would never ever return to this hotel if it was the last hotel on earth. Don't come here be the worst mistake you'll ever make.

We booked at this hotel through a Thomson holiday - our first. We we're overall very pleased. Traveling was a family of four, including a four year old and a six month old.

Accommodation was lovely. Rooms were clean and when daughter had an accident in bed, sheets were changed promptly and happily. Our family room had a private patio area which was great.

Staff was generally friendly, save for one sassy lady at reception. Many fawned over the baby, and all we're polite.

Food was great. With picky kids and differing tastes, we never found we couldn't please everyone. There was also a lovely assortment of local dishes on a daily basis.

Bar was nice, drinks were small, cocktails included in the all inclusive were limited but we aren't picky. Bartenders were friendly as well.

Mini club wasn't anything exciting, daughter went once and never again.

Other entertainment was excellent, the flamenco dancers and Frank Sinatra singer were particularly wonderful.

We'd definitely go back if we had the opportunity.

Strangely 95+ residents were French as was all entertainment! Difficult for mere English to understand particularly in Spain! Food at dinner was generally very cool and needed microwave to warm to be edible. Breakfast and lunch were OK. Staff were pleasant and helpful.
