A budget hotel with a fantastic location - great beaches a couple of minutes on foot, plenty of nice restaurants around and easy access to Chania if you’re without a car (bus stop right out front).
We stayed here for 12 days in one of the traditional, dated rooms. The room had that old school charm - traditional stone walls and floors kept the room nice and cool (there was A/C too of course). There were basic necessities for meal prep. The bath/shower leaked, but we are used to this in this price range in Greece, and we were content with the basics. After all we didn’t come to Crete to stay in our room! We appreciated the balcony and the laid back, private vibe of the hotel.
Breakfast was very basic (think eggs, bacon, beans in sauce, cheese, basic muesli, yoghurt etc) but fine. I couldn’t see any olive oil (I didn’t ask but I thought it made sense for it to be readily available). We appreciated the fresh fruit bowl that was replenished daily (it was popular).
Room service needed some reminding but staff were responsive and all minor issues were promptly dealt with. Antonia and Archontissa (I hope I got the spelling right!) at reception are the bright stars of the hotel. Great customer service, always ready to assist. If you’re missing something - just ask because they will do their best to assist.
We recommend this hotel to anyone who can appreciate a great value, 3 star experience. We hope to return :)

We stayed at the Flamingo Hotel for three nights and had an amazing time! The location is fantastic, just a short 300-metre walk to the beach and surrounded by plenty of great restaurants. The hotel itself is lovely, comfortable, and charming. The staff were exceptionally friendly, lively, and attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable. We would definitely come back!

Edit: the situation was taken care of, we were moved to another, much nicer room. There was a small accident with my suitcase but the person who arranged the move is highly professional with great customer care skills and managed to mitigate the situation. My experience for first 2 days was horrible but now it’s much better. Location of the hotel is really good. There is a big free parking nearby we can leave the rented car on, lovely Iguana beach and bus stop with direct line to Chania old town.

It was a lovely two night stay, Antonia is a jem, very engaging and patient as I prepared her with questions of there island and its people. The facilities are very nicely kept and everyone of the staff I met was very nice.  I’d definitely come back.

Absolutely fantastic stay! We stayed in apartment number 308 with four of us, and it was a perfect choice. The apartment is cozy and well-equipped, featuring a small refrigerator and a stone stove ideal for preparing simple meals. While the hotel only serves breakfast, there's a charming tavern nearby where you can enjoy delicious local cuisine.

The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel truly welcomed throughout our stay. Even with a late flight, we appreciated being able to leave our luggage at the reception and still enjoy the hotel’s pool, complete with complimentary towels.

Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its comfort, helpful staff, and convenient amenities. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again!

We spent six days and seven nights at Flamingos Hotel with my partner. This hotel is not meant for those seeking luxury or for pretentious guests. The rooms have a rather vintage atmosphere, and if that’s what you’re looking for, you’ll definitely enjoy your stay. That’s exactly what we wanted, so we were fully satisfied with the room we received.

The beach (Sunset Beach) is about 200–300 meters away, and there’s a mini market on the way. You can easily walk to the beach in your swimsuit.

Room cleaning is occasionally a bit inconsistent, and the breakfast selection doesn’t change much, but these are minor issues compared to the beautiful view, the spacious balcony, and the well-functioning air conditioning.

I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel, and I’d also like to send my regards to the manager lady, who was very helpful with everything. We had a wonderful time!
