I've read reviews on here, saying its not that good.
Well I have had a lovely stay here, staff were fantastic, always were happy to help, breakfast also very good a great selection to choose from, room cleaned everyday clean towels everyday.
The only thing I would say is rooms could do with being decorated.

Firstly, I think the negative reviews are a little over exaggerated, as during our stay we was politely greeted and the staff were very helpful throughout. The hotel was clean, the pool was clean and the guests were friendly.

Although this hotel did not meet our specific needs unfortunately, due to not serving alcohol or pork, and further banning bringing your own food and drink into your room to compensate, but I still wouldn't say that the hotel is a bad place to stay.

As English visitors in Blanes, we found that the hotel was great for somewhere to stay during our trip, this is a clean friendly quiet hotel and close to the beach, We planned to dine out during our holiday too, so there isn't really anything negative we can say about this hotel to be honest.

It's a terrible hotel. Disgusting windows, through which you can hear everything that happens on the street. Disgusting doors, you can hear everything that happens in the corridor behind them. We were here with a football team, and the inexpensive price is the only criterion for choosing it.
I'd like to honestly note the reception and bar staff, they try to give maximum service. Also, the cleaning service was very friendly.
Otherwise, it was a terrible 5 days without normal sleep, with constant screaming and noise from the street and from the corridors.
The food is nothing special, there are normal dishes, sometimes not so much. But you can choose the food. I do not recommend this hotel, only in case of emergency.

after every single meal the stomach pain is guaranteed, the buffet is chaotic and you dont know what you eat at all couse there is nothing that stays good or same for more than 2 days beds are 4/10 amd rest is just alright

Great location. But not much else positive to say about Hotel (not so) Esplendid. The 1st room we had was horrible, dirty, stained sheets, air conditioning wasn't working properly. You can here everything through the walls in every room including couple's arguments at midnight and babies screaming at all times of the night, kids running up and down the rooms and corridors sounding like a herd of elephants. The road on the front is very busy. After complaining they changed our room no problem, the 2nd room was much better (but that's not difficult) reception staff when we arrived were really rude but others were nice. Cleaning staff on floor 4 (Mimi) were lovely although didn't speak a word of English, but she was really kind to our 5 year old son. Inside pool stinks and swimming areas are shabby. Whole hotel needs to be brought out of the 70s/80s and a revamp is definitely needed. The food in my opinion is terrible and its like feeding time at the zoo, it's  food roulette with no signage to say what anything is. Coffee out of the machine in the canteen is NOT coffee, not quite sure what it was to be honest. There's no alcohol in the hotel either which we didn't know before arriving. Bar staff in pool bar was so miserable we didn't want to ask her for anything and there were no icecreams or iced lollies after our 1st day. The list really is endless, if u don't mind a hostel, you won't mind it here. We enjoyed our holiday but won't be coming back to hotel esplendid but will definitely be coming back to Blanes as it is a beautiful place.

The hotel is very clean and well organized, making for a pleasant stay. However, I believe a few aspects could be improved:

The rooms should have a minibar, as the weather is quite hot and it would be essential to keep water cold.

The bathroom should feature a shower box instead of a shower over the bathtub, since this type of setup can be risky for elderly guests or those with mobility issues. I also missed having a non-slip mat inside the bathtub and a bath mat outside, as I had to use towels as a substitute.

The food is excellent and of high quality, but it would be ideal if each dish had a label with its name so guests know exactly what they are eating.

As for the room service, it was outstanding: a perfect 10! My special thanks go to Miss Amal, from housekeeping, who stood out with her dedication and should be considered a true asset to the team.

Overall, I am very happy with my experience as a guest and I am sure the hotel will continue to improve even more. Thank you and see you next time
