A wonderfully run and very well-appointed hotel that caters for adults only. The staff are lovely. The food is excellent and the rooms are well kept. The beds are comfy and it's clean with a good standard of decor. The Skybar is a perfect place to unwind and, the rooftop pool is well-kept and, not particularly overlooked. The lifts are small but work perfectly. It is nicely located within easy walking distance of Elounda town centre and, in proximity to a short boat ride to Spinalonga Island. I loved my stay there and will return.

It’s our second time here …wonderful experience and staff. Food is incredible and the sky bar has been updated which looks amazing.
We got upgraded to a sea view room and if you can get one of them, it’s even more of an experience.
If you’re hungry and even though there are many restaurants….you can’t go wrong with the Hotels own restaurant, The blue sea. The food there is great food and the staff are very friendly.

We are still here as I post and I honesty can’t say enough about the place .

We stayed here for 7 nights a couple of weeks ago. It is in a great location, right on the beach front and you can walk into the town easily. It takes approximately ten minutes. The hotel has seating downstairs for breakfast and also across the road there is extra seating. You can have your breakfast or other meals there. There is a little section of sand where there are free sun loungers to use, but they are usually taken early in the morning. The hotel was clean. There is a sky bar on the top floor which is open for most of the day and evening, and it's very nice. It's next to where the pool is. The pool is nice but only small and there are only a handful of sun loungers. We had a room on the fourth floor. There is a loft but it's quite small, really max 3 people can fit but more likely to be 2 people. We arrived in the night and the front desk was manned. We had a friendly member of staff meet us and he took our bags to our room. We were upgraded to a larger room which was really nice, but I think the standard room is quite small. The room was kept clean but was very basic. We did have to ask for our soaps, toilet roll, and coffees to be filled up because each day they weren't topped up. The shower was a bit of a weird shape for us but was fine. You can borrow beach towels from the hotel which you need to keep for the duration of your stay, or pay €2 a day per towel for a new one. You can get taxis from outside the hotel. There's also a back gate which takes you to the main road, and there is a Euro Mart just beyond that which is really convenient and only a two minute walk away.

I would class this as a good 3 Star Hotel. Staff very attentive and kind. The breakfasts were very good. The Sky Bar is lovely. The hotel itself very clean. The views to Spinalonga are gorgeous. It is an easy 5 min stroll to the harbour and shops.
My only negatives would be:
1) That the standard room balconies are very small and the hotel should provide drawers (under the dressing table) for the guests. There are also not enough hanging hooks in the bedrooms..
2) The pool itself is not very big & it opens far too late. I am an early riser and I love to swim lengths in the early morning before breakfast,
09:30 just didn’t work for me.
3) The hotel beach area is ok but very small. The hotel has maybe 20-25 sun beds there. Definitely not enough for all the guests that the hotel accommodates. And tbh the beach area could definitely do with some re-vamping & attention & some money being spent on it. The sun beds and umbrellas should definitely be changed too. The sun bed mattresses need to be thrown away, dirty and tatty. The covered seating areas around the beach though (part restaurant) are lovely to eat, drink, relax at & get out of the sun.

All in all our holiday at Akti was fine for a week. It delivered what we needed, Sun, Sand & Sea & Recharge! Elounda is a lovely, chilled, seaside town.

The rooms are a small but comfortable. They could use a bit more storage space however. Our balcony was small and didn't have the greatest of views but that didn't affect our enjoyment of our stay. The shower was amazing! The staff are, without exception, extremely friendly and it's the most beautiful place we've ever enjoyed a breakfast. Great location, near fabulous bars & restaurants and the gorgeous marina. We have definitely fallen in love with Greece and it's people ❤️
