The resort is about 1 hour from Galle, 1.5 hours from the most precious parks Bundala, Udawalawe and Yala, 2 hours from Sinharaja Forest, 2.5 hours from Ratnapura (known for its gem mining) and many other excursion destinations. The resort is situated 210 km from the international airport, in the south. Bandaranaike Airport is the only international airport in Sri Lanka at present and is situated about 30 km north of Colombo. The resort is a really unique and scenic place. It is a magical paradise accompanied by the music of the sea. The main building has been built on the reef in such a gentle way that guests can enjoy breakfast facing the reef. The resort has a very strong reef in front of it which defends the property and this makes a big difference. Guests are greeted in a lobby and there is also a bar, restaurant and room service at the resort. All the standard guest rooms feature a spacious bedroom with canopied beds and sitting areas decorated with Sri Lankan-style furnishings. All rooms have a terrace with ocean view. Services and amenities in the rooms include a refrigerated minibar, tea/coffee maker, telephone, fan, air conditioning and daily housekeeping service. The hotel has a seawater swimming pool outside. A hot tub is situated next to the swimming pool. At the beach, windsurfing, body surfboards, canoes and snorkelling equipment are available, weather and tide permitting. Guests can also play tennis at the hotel. The restaurant offers casual dining in a Sri Lankan setting and features Sri Lankan and European specialties with particular attention to Italian cuisine. There are often buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner but there is also the possibility of enjoying an à la carte menu or special options including a fresh seafood menu. For lunch the pizzeria is open and the pizzas are baked in a traditional Italian stone oven. The bar offers poolside drinks and snacks.
