The hotel is located in the Sahl Hasheesh area in Hurghada, Egypt. The Gouna Bus Station is about 19.6 km from the hotel. Supermarkets, restaurants, and bars are available within a 9 km radius from the hotel. The hotel can be reached in 20 minutes from the Hurghada International Airport which is about at a distance of 14.9 km.
Room Types
There are 514 well-furnished and beautifully designed inter-connecting rooms with balconies offering breath-taking views of the Red Sea. Standard rooms, deluxe rooms and suites are available here. All rooms are individually air-conditioned and have a balcony, a bathroom with shower, shampoo-gel & liquid soap, flat-screen TV with European and Arabic satellite channels, telephone, mini-fridge, tea & coffee amenities, bathrobes & slippers, hairdryer, and free high-speed internet access. All rooms have private safety deposit boxes. Note that the rooms are not suitable for disabled persons.
Food and Drink
The all-inclusive package includes breakfast and dinner in the main restaurant known as The Citadel which serves buffet meals. Guests can have buffet lunch in the Harbor Inn restaurant. Apart from this, guests can also dine at the 4 themed restaurants namely La Gondola, El Gaucho, Blue Marlin and Orchid, where they can enjoy unlimited number of visits (early reservation is needed). The 2 pool bars and 3 beach bars serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, juices, coffee, tea, and mineral water. The snack bars serve ice-cream, sandwiches and other snacks. Afternoon and midnight snacks are available. Alcoholic beverages are served between 10am to 2am and other soft drinks and juices are served 24-hours.
Sports, Games and Entertainment
The Albatros Citadel Resort features three sweet water swimming pools, 2 of them are heated in winter. A children’s pool is also attached. There are 2 man-made sea lagoons. The royal lagoon has a sandy entrance to the sea. A unique coral house reef is built here extending to 1.6 km on the private beach. This resort also has a large amphitheatre where many activities area organised. Also, there is a fitness centre and gym and a games room for billiards, table tennis, play station, table football, and coin operated arcade games. The international animation team organises many fun activities such as darts, boccia, water gym, dance lessons, aerobic lessons, beach volleyball, water polo and beach tennis. Guests can also enjoy playing the giant chess on the beach. Two tennis courts are available with free rackets and balls. Children can have lots of fun at the kids’ club supervised by a professional animation team. The whole family can enjoy the live entertainment shows held daily in the evenings.
