Things To Keep In Mind

Very, very impressed with this hotel- booked a week in advance for a long weekend in off season, upon arrival we were upgraded to a sea view room with huge balcony on the top floor. Views across Palma with the marina and port in front were amazing. Hotel has very clearly been recently renovated, room was spotless and modern, bathroom had great amenities and a rainfall shower. Bed was huge and comfy. They even placed a couple of Lindt chocolates on the bedside table to welcome us. Paid minibar was well stocked and fairly priced, and 2 bottles of water in room for free. Due to off season renovation works, the outside bar area and pool was shut, but didn't affect us as we wouldn't have sat outside anyway. We could see from balcony above that the area, when complete, will be lovely in the summer and the pool is a good size. We were given 2 glasses of cava on arrival waiting for the room to be ready, a great touch. Staff couldn't have been more friendly, especially Diane- they all went above and beyond. Parking is on the expensive side at 22euro/day, but you can find parking spaces on the nearby streets for free. Hotel is located on top of a hill, 45min ish walk into town and uber was 7euro. Big shopping centre a 10 min walk away. A really great location. Thanks for everything, would return!

We stayed at this hotel for five days and ended up staying in a couple of different rooms. Everything was great throughout the stay, and the rooms were comfortable and well kept. The service was also outstanding

We didn’t use the outdoor pool since it was off season, but the indoor pool was really nice though. The food was good as well, with plenty of choices. Overall, a very pleasant stay and a hotel we’d happily return to

My stay at Catalonia Majórica was truly wonderful. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and perfectly located with beautiful views of the port and the city.

I especially want to thank *Mark and Diana at the reception*. They were both incredibly friendly, patient, and helpful. Since I don’t speak the language well, they took extra time to make sure I understood everything and always asked if I needed help. Their kindness and attention made me feel safe and welcome every single day.

🌟 Review for Ms. Cristina – Hotel Catalonia Majorica, Palma de Mallorca 🌟

We had a wonderful experience thanks to Ms. Cristina at the reception! She was extremely helpful, cordial, and welcoming right from the moment we arrived. On request, she kindly arranged for our rooms well before check-in time and went out of her way to suggest great places to eat and explore around Palma. Every question was answered with patience and a warm smile.

Cristina truly represents the spirit of hospitality — she’s the kind of person who should be the face of Catalonia Hotels! Her professionalism and kindness made our stay all the more memorable. Highly recommend this hotel, especially for the excellent service we received from her.

I decided to upgrade to a sea view room, the view made it well worth it, and by joining the rewards scheme, which was free of charge, it paid for itself by more than double. The breakfast selections were superb, with a lovely atmosphere. Eating outside in the evening was also a nice experience,  lovely view over the harbour, along with a good menu.
The location,  is a 40 minute walk to the centre of Palma,  but there is a bus stop outside the hotel, at €2 each. The buses tend to be very full at popular times.
All in all, a fantastic hotel, that I would visit again,  and recommend to anyone, especially couples looking for a peaceful break.

The staff service at this hotel is excellent — everyone was polite, efficient, and genuinely helpful throughout my stay. Their professionalism really stood out and made the experience more pleasant.

However, the facilities in the room are clearly outdated. The bathroom shows visible signs of wear and tear and is in need of repair. The shower area seemed to still be under maintenance (see photos below), which was inconvenient. Basic amenities such as toothbrushes were not provided, which felt surprising for a hotel of this level.

On the positive side, the balcony was a nice and added some charm to the room. Parking, however, is quite limited and can be difficult to manage.

Overall, while the staff service deserves praise, the hotel itself feels too old in 2025 and requires significant updates to match the quality of its team.

Perfect hotel for intensive tourism

Perfect breakfasts, comparable with 4/5-stars resorts. Restaurant and bar working until 12am, so there was no problem to get a good meal to work for a couple of hours while my family is sleeping in the apartment. Beautiful view and comfortable balcony to get lunch with family. Supper kind and supportive staff. Good location near to a shopping center with excellent restaurants and activities for kids.

This is a hotel, not a resort, so facilities are somewhat limited. If you plan a long stay with many days solely in the hotel, this might be not a best choice. If you mostly travel and spend only mornings, evenings and maybe lunch time in the hotel - this is 100% perfect choice.

Stayed here 4 nights during October for the 10k running event.
The room for one person was large, with a king size double bed and a spacious bathroom with great shower. The outlook wasn't anything special, but they do have sea facing rooms. Breakfast was very good, with a wide range of choices, hot and cold.
Nice outside pool and terrace, and a separate terrace with bar service with views over the port, and in the distance the cathedral.
Depending on your requirements, hotel is excellently located for the cruise port, but it's about 1.75 miles from the cathedral/central area. Taxi costs are about €10 euro to the cathedral, or take the number 4 bus, which stops close by, and thats €2. Note that Ubers are more expensive than taxis here.
Shopping centre with food outlets 5 minutes walk away.
We were checked in by Diana, who was very polite and professional, and spoke excellent English.
