Things To Keep In Mind

Terrible hotel. Save your money and go elsewhere.
Rooms are dirty and smell of smoke.
Beds are hard. Pillows cheap and flimsy.
Dated furniture.
Broken shower. Mold in shower. Bath tub stained.
No tea / coffee making facilities in the room.
No equipment in the gym worked.
Showers in spa broken.
Took 8 hours to get two more pillows (had to get them ourselves in the end).
So much more to add, but you get the idea.
The only positive is the private beach area. This is a nice place to relax and swim.

Booked their priciest spa room for our honeymoon. Overall, would never stay there again and wouldn't recommend it at the hefty price point anyway. Would rather spend less for a stay at a chain hotel that'd provide proper service.

Pros: beautiful view and location, right off a cliff by the sea! Room service is delicious, and significantly cheaper than any nearby restaurant. House keeping was alright too.

Cons: Front desk receptionist is extremely rude and doesn't know basic customer service. We weren't greeted or helped with our luggage whatsoever, and when asked to be helped were told that "there's no one to help" and that "we can wait". Ended up helping ourselves with luggage and were checked in 30 mins after promised check in time as they haven't cleaned our pre booked room ahead of time. Also, price is crazy expensive for the terrible service they offer. Totally not worth the money!

Don't book a hotel here. It's very very bad. The room facilities are bad. The service is bad. I came to have fun but got a bad impression. I booked a room with a jacuzzi but all the room facilities were not there. When I checked in, the room was not available. This is very very bad.

If you’re booking a standard room and thinking “I’ll save a bit and skip the sea view,”—don’t. Unless you enjoy staring at a wall while contemplating your life choices. The sea view costs extra, but so does your dignity if you don’t pay it.

The room itself? A masterclass in minimalist suffering. The bed is superking in size but emotionally unavailable. You’re given one single sheet, which means you and your travel companion will be forced into a nightly game of sweaty Twister. The mattress is so firm I briefly considered checking if I’d accidentally booked a slab of marble. The pillows? Little foam ghosts of comfort. We asked for more and they arrived four hours later, possibly after being summoned from the underworld.

The shower head was hanging on by filler and sheer willpower. The door handle was halfway through its escape plan. Paint was peeling off the walls like the hotel was shedding its skin in protest. And the wardrobe? Generously equipped with one coat hanger. One. I brought clothes. The hotel brought character development.

Now, if you’re hoping for sleep—how quaint. The hotel sits directly above a nightclub that parties until 4am. So while your eyes mourn the lack of view, your ears are treated to the full Turkish techno experience, plus the occasional scream of someone discovering they’ve lost their dignity and/or flip-flops. And don’t count on the curtains to save you—those two panels don’t even pretend to meet in the middle. Bring earplugs and an eye mask unless you enjoy sleeping in a disco-lit cave.

Credit where it’s due: the fridge and air-conditioning were the last two functioning brain cells in a crisis—keeping it cool, holding it together, and absolutely essential to survival. The pool was clean and lovely, and the staff? Absolute legends. Friendly, helpful, and clearly working overtime to keep the chaos charming.

The beach club is stunning—leads straight into the sea like a Bond villain’s lair. But be warned: you can’t touch the bottom. If you’re not a confident swimmer, stick to the pool unless you fancy a spontaneous baptism and a mild panic attack. Drinks down there are priced like they were hand-delivered by Poseidon himself, so go all-inclusive or prepare to sell a kidney.

The hotel food? Genuinely delicious. We ate out most nights, which was a roulette of culinary highs and lows. Alcohol in Turkey is priced like it’s been taxed by Zeus, so budget accordingly.

Final Verdict
Bilem Hotel is a beautiful mess. The beach club and staff are worth the stay. The room? A bit of a hostage situation. Bring coat hangers, extra pillows, a mattress topper, earplugs, and an eye mask. Pay for the sea view. And if you’re sharing a bed, prepare to stick together—literally. Sleep is optional, techno is not.

Would I go back? Maybe. But only with a chiropractor, a suitcase full of bedding

We stayed as a couple for two nights at the hotel. After a long six-hour drive, we arrived feeling quite exhausted, only to find that our initial room had an unpleasant, unidentifiable smell, hair in the bathtub, and no handle to close the bathroom door. The curtains also let in far too much light, making it difficult to sleep. We contacted reception, and they kindly asked us to come by in the morning to arrange a room change. At around 2 PM the next day, we were moved to a new room of the same type, but recently renovated—and it made a world of difference. The space felt more open, fresh, and much more comfortable.

The beach club was another highlight of our stay. The setting was beautiful and incredibly relaxing, with comfortable mattresses to lounge on. We ordered drinks, a falafel salad, and a cheese pizza, all of which were delicious and of excellent quality. The staff at the beach club were friendly and attentive, which helped improve our overall impression after the rocky start.

A special thank you to Ömer and Yusuf at reception—they were extremely helpful, accommodating our requests and answering our questions with genuine warmth and professionalism. We also enjoyed some pleasant conversations with them during our stay. Their assistance made a big difference and is truly appreciated.
