Nice view, friendly staff, but the hotel is a

mess

I recently stayed here and honestly, it was a letdown. The only good things were the amazing view from the room and the staff, who were actually friendly. The rest was bad.

The room was dirty. We had moldy curtains and the AC unit was filthy. We couldn't even use the balcony because of a terrible smell coming from the basement.

Cleaning was non-existent. They didn't change the towels until we went down to reception to ask, and even then, we barely got one large and one small towel. The "All Inclusive" food was the same every single day. We got sick of it after 3 days and started eating at restaurants nearby. The drinks are terrible,

the beer tastes like water.

I wouldn't recommend it.

Couldn't understand what people were complaining about - maybe we were just lucky with our room? Perfectly clean and spacious with a sea view to die for. The food was amazing but then we love Greek food. Service, cleaning etc all good. Yes there are a lot of uneven steps. Snorkelling in crystal clear water was amazing. Not a huge choice of all-inclusive drinks but for what we paid for the holiday we were very happy

I have mixed impressions about the hotel. It seems both good and not so good — there are quite a few nuances.
We arrived at the hotel around 5 a.m. Tired from the trip, but happy to finally be on vacation.
They checked us in earlier than expected — by around 11 a.m. we were already in our room. The first impression of the room was okay, though we had expected better. It was clear that only light renovations had been done. When you take a shower, be prepared for everything to get flooded afterward. The glass shower doors didn’t help — water leaked everywhere, and drainage water with foam even rose up to the surface, flooding the floor. It was also very cramped inside. Just so you understand — we’re girls weighing 48 and 55 kg, so it would be even harder for someone bigger to move around in there.
The cleaning was very superficial, just enough to create a feeling of cleanliness.
And the main thing — they decided to put us on the very top floor of another building. Apparently, we looked like mountaineers 😁
No one helped carry our suitcases (one weighed 15 kg, the other 19 kg). We barely managed to get them up — our hands and legs were trembling.
As for the food, it was tasty, but often repetitive. I had read reviews about the omelet — and yes, it really was awful, both in taste and appearance (but I still tried it).
So yes, you should trust the reviews.
The dishes were a separate story — only the plates were clean. You had to pick through the forks, knives, and spoons to find the cleanest ones. The water glasses often had fingerprints, lipstick, or food marks, so we constantly had to wipe them ourselves, which was uncomfortable.
But all those shortcomings were redeemed by the wonderful sea and the stunning view from our room 🥰

A big request: please work on improving the cleanliness of the bathrooms throughout the hotel, especially the ones near the reception. It’s really unpleasant.

We stayed at Bali Beach & Sofia Village from October 2nd to October 9th in room 817, and it was a wonderful experience!  The hotel is cozy, very clean, and perfectly located — just a few steps from the beach with an amazing sea view. The staff were incredibly kind, always smiling and ready to help with anything we needed. Our room was comfortable and well-kept, and breakfasts were fresh and delicious every morning. The whole atmosphere was calm and relaxing, perfect for a peaceful vacation in Crete. We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again!

We stayed at Bali Beach & Sofia Village from October 2nd to October 9th in room 818, and everything was perfect! 🌴 The hotel is beautiful, clean, and has a relaxing atmosphere with a stunning sea view. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfasts were tasty and always fresh. It’s an ideal place to rest and enjoy the beauty of Crete. We’ll definitely come back again! 🌞

The room was cleaner when we left because we cleaned it. It's built into a hill so there's stairs to everything, rooms, restaurant, reception the bars. The snacks at the bar are stale sandwiches. When you ask for small measures at the bar so you don't get too drunk too quickly they still pour about 100ml of neat alcohol. The restaurant staff were absolutely lovely. They were the best staff you could hope for. They work very hard for little reward, and some guests were rude to them they should get paid more. One of the staff on reception was nice. The bar staff are not friendly. The cats are the best thing about the hotel and the fact you can have a sea view when eating.
