⭐ Ark Suite Hotel – August 2025 (Never Again!) ⭐

We stayed here in 2022 and 2023 and had such great experiences that we decided to return again this year. What a mistake. This will definitely be our last visit.

The biggest disappointment is that Pinocchio has gone. He was the life and soul of this hotel — the kids adored him, adults loved his energy, and he gave the evenings a real spark. Without him, the hotel feels completely lifeless. The new entertainer, Ken, is a joke in comparison. He doesn’t bother with the children, rarely smiles, and spends most of his time chatting with adults instead of actually entertaining. The “entertainment” is boring, repetitive, and honestly not even worth staying in for. Evenings are just dead here now.

The rooms are in an appalling state. Ours had chewing gum stuck to the wardrobe, a curtain hanging off, and countless other faults. We didn’t even bother reporting them because it feels like the hotel has completely stopped caring. Instead, we just woke up, had breakfast, and left the hotel all day and night because being there was miserable.

The food isn’t great either. We went self-catering or grabbed something at the pool bar, which was okay at best. The beach is far away, and in the summer heat the kids didn’t want to travel, so sometimes we just ordered takeaway to the room instead. The bar staff near the pool are great that is one positive very friendly and attentive on making drinks!

What shocked us most is how different the atmosphere has become. Back in 2022 and 2023 this place was lively, fun, and felt like good value for money for a 3-star hotel. Now, it feels more like a tired 2-star at best.

Goodbye and farewell, Ark Hotel — never again

I stayed here with my friend and her two children at the end of August for 5 nights, and what a gem this place is! We absolutely loved our experience. The staff were friendly, the food was great with a good variety, and the entertainment was really good. The beach was conveniently close to the hotel with shuttle buses provided. We also booked a safari excursion through the hotel agent – such an amazing experience and so much fun! I treated myself to a Turkish bath at the hotel too, which was great value for money. I would definitely go back. The only downside is that the airport is quite far from the hotel.

Just got back from this hotel yesterday for the second time and we absolutely loved it. So much that we have booked already 2 times for next year. Everyone was very welcoming. Even the lady who were presuming was the owner - not to sure - was very kind and when she seen us went out of her way to speak to us and was very nice about us all. We already can’t wait to be back and we have been home less than 24 hours.

Just got through the door from our weeks holiday with 6 kids. Very positive experience at this hotel. The food was brilliant in my opinion. Don't get me wrong there wasn't as much choice as other hotels we've been to, but still plenty to choose from and all very tasty. The rooms are massive and beds are very comfy.

Kids entertainment was okay. There's a woman there that has about as much energy and enthusiasm as a feather acting as a paper weight! The chap who does the majority of the work is great fun, but in my opinion it all ends very quickly and they turn music off early due to locals complaining. So if you like to stay up and party and have lots of entertainment, I'd say look elsewhere. But overall for my wife and I and 6 children. They all thoroughly enjoyed it. The pools were lovely and clean / warm. The air conditioning in our rooms was a joke! We had two rooms, and at £10 per night for 7 days. It cost us £140.  The girls room they said was nice and cold. Whereas our room never changed. Constantly boiling even with it on full blast. 100% faulty. But despite taking it up with the management, nothing was done! And no refund offered. I wasn't very happy about this. They know about it. Seen other reviews stating it also. Many staff offering tattoos to holiday makers to their mates businesses, even the rep! And they're not allowed to do this. They're all in on things. Even down to a certain shop they take you to. So dont just say "shopping" as they'll take you to one shop where the staff are so pushy and make you feel awkward! The best place we found was near the harbour! Lots of shops have no prices. So I tend to stay away from them and go to the ones clearly labelled. But thats just me. You can barter with them. But they will try and rip you off massively to begin with. Think we're thick!

Overall though a lovely place and many nice people. Would i go again! Absolutely! I'd just make sure we got better AC!!

This is my honest review

Bad points

The owner gets aggressive and blames the customer for there faults as shown in there response.
Yes we were refunded £500 but at was the £7 per person per night and there was 5 of us staying for 14 nights. My advice to the hotel would be to not rip people off in the first place by making rooms up that don’t exist.
We still paid a total of £3600 for the holiday so the hotel had the correct amount of £3100 which we should have paid.

When we got to the hotel at midnight our rooms weren’t available so we had to go in temporary rooms

The next day we were put in these apartments facing the main road which is extremely noisy. Bare in mind these are meant to be deluxe rooms which i can say they definitely weren’t

On asking to move the first time we were told they were to busy and then when on the beach contacted them they wanted to charge us a £200 to move rooms.

The noise from the balcony is so loud you can’t sit outside and this continues all day and night so we slept awful.

The rooms were dirty as seen in the pictures theres mould in the shower, something brown splattered all over the tiles, dirty fixtures, dirty hob and stained dirty furniture

The freezer door was missing so we couldn’t use it for ice lollies because it wouldn’t freeze anything. We asked 3 times for it to be fixed and eventually someone came to look and said they would fix it the next day but never did

Only air conditioning in the bedroom

The pool is dirty with lots of black bits floating around in the water and you couldn’t swim without getting someones hair wrapped around your fingers 🤢
Daughter ended up with an ear infection from swimming in the pool

The entertainment wasn’t great and was pretty non existent

The reception staff are rude and dismissive and get aggressive if you have a problem and the owner is aggressive

Not very close to the main town and restaurants , 20 minute walk in humid hot weather

Good points

Rooms were spacious

The bar staff were so helpful and friendly and always checked to see if there was anything you needed

The water slides were good

The food we brought from the snack bar was always nice and fresh

Clean towels changed daily and bedding changed regularly

Would i go back definitely not
I booked a 3 star and that’s what i was expecting and if it were clean it would be great but i don’t want to live in someone else’s dirt.

Beware this hotel tried to rip us off by selling us a deluxe room that doesn’t exist.
