Our family vacation at Anantara Dhigu Maldives Resort was exceptional. Traveling with grown‑up kids, we were looking for a place that balanced relaxation, activities, and a bit of luxury for everyone — and Anantara Dhigu delivered perfectly.

The overwater villa was spacious and beautifully designed, giving each of us enough privacy while still feeling connected. Waking up to the lagoon every morning was a highlight, and having direct access to the water made it easy for all of us to enjoy snorkeling and swimming at our own pace.

The food across the resort was consistently excellent, with a wide variety that suited everyone’s tastes. We especially enjoyed the dinners at Sea.Fire.Salt, where the staff made the experience feel personal and memorable.

What stood out most was how well the resort caters to families with adult children. There were plenty of activities we could enjoy together — kayaking, paddleboarding, sunset cruises — without feeling restricted to “kids’ activities.” The lagoon is calm and safe, making it perfect for relaxed water time without any stress.

The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our stay special. Their hospitality elevated the entire experience.

Anantara Dhigu is an ideal choice for families traveling with grown‑up kids who want a mix of luxury, comfort, and shared experiences. We left with beautiful memories and would happily return.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The service is truly on another level, everything feels very well taken care of. The beach is beautiful and relaxing, perfect for spending the day. food.
A special mention to our butler Ahmed zahid who was extremely kind, attentive, and very helpful throughout our stay. He really made the experience even better. Waddey from the cleaning staff was also very kind and did a very good job keeping everything clean and well maintained.
Overall, an amazing hotel that I would definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at Anantara Dhigu and had an amazing family holiday. The food was excellent, particularly the breakfast and dinner, and our room was beautiful, spacious and very comfortable.

The resort offers plenty of thoughtful extras and activities. During our stay, we enjoyed the complimentary bicycles, the excellent kids’ club and a photo session. The Beach Guru was also a lovely touch—having fresh coconuts prepared for us on the beach was one of those simple but memorable holiday experiences.

The sunset side is considered the more premium side of the island, although it was noticeably windier during our visit in July. The sunrise side has a calmer, more sheltered lagoon, but there is some passing boat traffic.

One thing to be aware of is that the island does not have an easily accessible house reef directly offshore. You can still snorkel in the lagoon, but for the best coral and marine life, you will need to join a boat excursion.

Overall, Anantara Dhigu is a beautiful, welcoming and very family-friendly resort. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return.

Anantara Dhigu is truly THE best property we have been to. We have now gone there three times as we love it so much. The turquoise blue waters, the rooms, the property, the service everything is 5 star. They make you feel like you’re at home.
The food is amazing in all the restaurants, the kids play area is very nice.

Shujaau - from Anantara dhigu was very kind and helpful and made sure we have a wonderful stay!! Anything is we wanted was only a text or a call away.

I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a luxury stay.

The waters in this resort are beautiful, and so shallow. U can keep swimming ..

Thank you anantara for making our stay so memorable

Thank you to all the staff at Anantara Dhigu for giving our family memories that will last a lifetime.

From the moment you step off the boat, are handed a fresh coconut, and are warmly welcomed by Petra and her incredible team, you immediately feel the magic of the Maldives.

After 10 unforgettable nights, we were nowhere near ready to leave. The resort strikes the perfect balance between family-friendly and luxurious. The food was exceptional throughout our stay, with every restaurant offering delicious, high-quality options, including plenty of healthy choices. The breakfast buffet was a daily highlight.

A special mention must go to the housekeeping team. The level of service was truly outstanding and made us feel like royalty. Our villa was always immaculate, beautifully presented, and somehow completely free of sand despite our family constantly tracking it in from the beach.

Kadir did a fantastic job organising our reservations and accommodating every request with genuine care and professionalism, helping make our stay completely seamless. All the staff we encountered at the restaurants or around the grounds were so friendly and accommodating.

We loved the spa included activities such as yoga, meditation and wine tasting.

The Tropicsurf team also provided top-notch service. My husband was incredibly impressed with the attention to detail—from waxing his board and having it ready each day to transporting and caring for it throughout the trip. The surf boat experience was excellent, and the team made every outing effortless and enjoyable.

The Kids Club was another highlight of our stay. Pawani and her team were absolutely wonderful and made our children feel special from the very beginning. In fact, they knew our children’s names from the moment we stepped off the boat, which was such a thoughtful touch.

We loved the outdoor area with its swings and bikes, as well as the air-conditioned indoor space filled with toys and activities. Our children are still quite young, so we didn’t use the Kids Club extensively, but on the occasions we left them with the babysitter and Kids Club team, they were exceptionally well cared for.

What really stood out were the little details. It was so lovely to return to our villa and find a note from the Kids Club along with a special activity prepared for the children. The farewell gift they received before departure was another beautiful touch. These extra efforts made our family feel genuinely welcomed and showed how much care the team puts into creating memorable experiences for their youngest guests.

The Maldives is a truly special destination, and Anantara Dhigu made it even more magical. We left with unforgettable memories as a family and hope to return one day.
