The hotel is wonderful, the room with a sea view is fantastic, and the meals are the best imaginable. The bars serve not only excellent cocktails; guests also have access to a poolside bar and a beach bar, where the chef prepares lunch on the spot.
I especially recommend the fish and the hamburgers.
However, what truly makes this hotel special is, above all, the wonderful people...
And it is precisely because of them that we will be coming back later this year...

We had a superior sea view room which was very large and comfortable. The bed was a super king and comfortable, the free mini-bar was restocked daily and room cleaning was excellent. Downside to the room was a very skinny balcony and a view of the sea only possible from the end of the balcony.  hitel general  facilities were very good. Ten out of ten for the Haman and spa which we loved. The therapists were top class and prices ok. The hotel pool is huge with a lot of sun beds but, this is a 90% German hotel and guests were reserving beds from 7.30, not ideal but we managed.  They also have a large games area including a bowling alley. The main restaurant is excellent and there is so much choice. The good  quality is good for mass catering and everything was fresh. The two casual snack bars were a bit limited in choice, literally take away style food which was just about ok. We didn’t bother with the a’ la carte options.  There is an amazing beach with plenty of sun beds for hotel guests, the sea was pretty warm for May and quite shallow. Around the hotel area you essentially have other quality resorts, hundreds of shops (think real fakes and holiday shopping) plus a smaller number of restaurants. The dolmas stops outside the hotel and for about a Euro you can be in Side in 15 minutes. In the wider area there are many cultural and historical places to visit.  All in all I would recommend and visit again. Thank you to all of the staff who did a great job.

I recently stayed at the Alba Royal Hotel in Side, my overall experience was really good,  better than I expected from some of the reviews I’d read.

Yes, the guest profile is mostly German and some Russian visitors, but honestly, everyone was super friendly, and I had no issues there.

In terms of the hotel itself, it’s a bit older, but it’s very well-maintained and incredibly clean. The food options were good and varie, the same goes for the drinks, there were lots of different places around the resort to grab something to eat or drink.

I especially want to mention Isa from the restaurant staff. He was exceptionally kind and really went out of his way to look after me, knowing I was a solo female traveler. For example, during a very busy Christmas Eve dinner, he made sure I had a table, got me a drink, and checked in on me so I felt comfortable. He did this throughout my 10-day stay, it really made a difference. The housekeeping staff were also lovely and kept my room spotless.

Overall, it was a really nice break, I would recommend it for other solo female travelers. There’s plenty to do, and you’ll be well taken care of.

If you like Germans this is the place for you
Hotel nowhere near 5 star as very tired and food basically catered for the Germans with very little difference each day.
Rooms were clean as were most of the facilities but a total refurbishment would not go amiss.
Unfortunately we went in low seasons and where they say some facilities may be closed, they actually meant most of them. Not one English television station either.
Probably the worst holiday we have had and would definitely not return
