Nice and comfy rooms but very slow cleaning service. You always confront them in the room (before breakfast, after breakfast, after lunch…). Maybe they are understaffed but they won’t provide any privacy.

Very average food but kind personnel in the restaurants. Food seems to be repetitive in a couple of days.

Reception and other staff seem to be exhausted and it looks like you are annoying them every single time when you asi for help.

Beach is pretty nice and also the quality of the equipment. Entrance to the sea is quite rocky but more far from the shore begins fine sand seabed.

Pools are located in two main areas. By the main restaurant are two main pools for swimming, water polo, water dancing etc.Not great not terrible.
On the other side of the hotel just by the main street (car stinky smell) are water slides which are in a poor condition and with an arrogant life guard lady, who can’t even speak any national language. I don’t recommend to use this aqua park if you don’t want to get injured. Everything is rusty, dirty and broken.

This part of the hotel also offers apartments with “private” pools where everyone from the main street (from a bus stop) is staring at you taking a bath. What a brilliant idea 🤦🏻

Major craziness is that the hotel is located just by main power plant but challenges power outages every 10 mins during the evening.

Overall this hotel is just a waste of money.

Amazing stuff, very patient and pleasant. Helped us with anything we needed, from the moment we arrived until we left. We felt that they are like our family. The kids enjoyed so much, we will definitely back next year🙏🏻

We had six wonderful days, all-inclusive accommodation, service above expectations, varied food, changing every day, Greek restaurant and Italian restaurant, amazing desserts with , free alcohol and free drinks around the clock. Excellent car rental at the hotel, no need to look outside, there is a girl named Anastasia there.  Minimarket with all you need. We flew through the flying carpet, excellent. The hotel is a solid 4 out of 5 for a European all-inclusive. We had all the essentials and didn’t need to ask many questions — everything was provided in advance.

When we arrived, we asked for an early check-in, which was kindly granted. That allowed us to rest after a long journey and not lose a whole day of leisure. The staff were friendly and always ready to help. We were leaving at night, so we also requested late check-out the day before, which we payed for.

Everything was clean, and the self-service organization was well thought out. You can enjoy plenty of food and drinks all day, almost anywhere around the hotel. They rarely ran out of anything; even on crowded days, the staff handled everything quickly and without fuss. The management must be really strong to keep things running so smoothly.

The food itself wasn’t exceptional, but the menu offered a wide variety of options for every taste and dietary need, so no one would go hungry. The all-inclusive alcohol was rather pointless though — most of the drinks were basically mocktails. The coffee was fine.

Wi-Fi was almost nonexistent; I had to use cellular data to open anything on my laptop. It turned out to be a good excuse to stay offline most of the time, but for someone who needs a stable connection, that might be an issue.
Also, no power outlets in the bathroom for some reason, had to use hairdryer in the room 🤷🏻‍♂️

It’s a calm and quiet place to stay, even though there are many families with kids. Guests and staff were very polite, and the music was kept at a pleasant background level, allowing you to unwind and enjoy the sea breeze and natural sounds. The staff welcomed us to every dinner, and each evening featured a themed cuisine night.

Overall, it’s a great place to relax and have everything you need. Although the territory isn’t large, it’s beautiful. The hotel itself looks lovely — well-tended and tastefully designed. It’s very accessible, so anyone with different needs can enjoy everything safely and comfortably without having to ask for additional assistance. The renovation isn’t new and there are no luxuries, but we felt welcomed, cared for, and had a great time.

There’s a bus stop right by the hotel, and you can reach Amoudara or Heraklion by any bus. Taxis are available through various apps, and there are several car rental options nearby. No extra services were pushed on us — pretty much everything you might need is truly included. All the rules and limits are reasonable. I’ve been to many different places, and sometimes even five-star trendy resorts try to make extra money on everything despite the so-called “all-inclusive,” but that’s not the case here. You simply arrive, and everything is already prepared and waiting for you to enjoy.

The spa isn’t included, but that’s not really the focus of this hotel. The water park is a nice addition and fits well with the overall design concept — it looks great too. The beach is clean, accessible at any time of day or night, and has plenty of sunbeds. I’m not sure what it’s like in summer, but we were able to enjoy swimming in early October. We didn’t spend much time at the pools, but they close them at 18:00 for some reason — the only odd restriction for me.

There is a power plant right behind the hotel — an odd choice of location for a resort, though I’m not sure which one was built first. Locals don’t seem to mind it, and the sea looks perfectly clean.

A small convenience store is just a three-minute walk away. Nearby, by the river, there’s a feeding spot for cats and ducks — the animals are very friendly and happy to keep you company 😊
The hotel itself has only one cat (not what you’d expect from Greece 😁), who is also friendly and polite.

Just back from a week at Atlantica  Akti Zeus, in a group made up 2 families (4 adults & 5 children aged 9-17).
We were blessed with warm weather for the penultimate week of the season, and pleased with a resort that offered sufficient opportunity to keep our group engaged and entertained throughout.
The jewel in the crown of the hotel, though, has to be the food.
Most mornings and evenings we visited the main restaurant, which offered a wide range of delicious, freshly prepared, and tempting options. There was plenty of options to suit all guests from local delicacies, to children menus, and specific theme nights (which still had ample alternative offerings).
Not only was the food wonderful, but it was also constantly replenished, this is not a hotel where you have to race to dinner to ensure you don’t miss anything.
For lunch there is a snack bar which is the best we have seen in 10 years taking our families on all inclusive holidays. It offers a smaller buffet style similar to the main restaurant, with different options daily.
This is all complimented by a snack bar housed in a building by the main reception, which offers freshly prepared crepes and waffles (be warned the wait time can be a little long as they are cooked to order).
The hotel also offers a few bars situated throughout the site, a pool bar open during pool opening hours, the main reception bar which is double sided, with one side in the reception area, and one opening out to a delightful  courtyard with beautiful trees and bushes picked out beautifully at night time with well placed lighting.
During the evenings there was also a bar by the upstairs entertainment veranda, and a beautiful wine bar, which offers another beautiful outdoor drinking experience amongst some expertly placed small trees again with great lighting.
The wine bar, operated by Christina (who stood out for her friendly service) offered the wine, beer and soft drinks options from the all inclusive list, as well as 25% discounts on bottles if you fancied upgrading your wine tastes.

Aside from the excellent eating and dining options, there was plenty to keep our group entertained, with the main pool merely 100 yards from the beach, both of which offered sufficient sun loungers for all.
There was also the an excellent splash park based in the hotel, with a mixture of body and single/double inflatable ring slides, and 2 smaller collections of slides and splash activity for toddlers. It was the kamikaze and wave rider that were the stand out rides for thrill seekers that stood the splash park out from others, as these would be much more at home if found in a big off-site aqua park.
The entertainment team serenaded us by dancing along to their theme song around the main pool at the start of every morning and afternoon, before proving various activity options such as beach volleyball, water polo, yoga, pilates, and darts for all to join in. Also on the beach you could access jet ski, and boat hire, along with booking session on the banana or crazy sofa, which were pulled along by a speed boat, all of which comes at an extra cost.
The rooms were well proportioned with a daily cleaning and bed making, and fresh towels every 2 days, but to be honest we did not spend much time in the rooms, with to do outside.
Finally the staff across the hotel were all extremely polite, friendly, and nothing seemed to be too much bother when it came to helping the guests.

Having stayed in an Atlantica Hotel in Kos for our first all inclusive family holiday 10 years ago, where the food and staff service still stood out, we were pleased to discover this appear to be a theme with Atlantica Hotels, so we will not leave it so long before visiting one of their resorts in future.

Great hotel! We were a big family gang with 6 toddlers. The water park has slides for adults, slides for kids and baby area. The free cocktails' selection was nice. Food was excellent and the team very friendly and efficient. It is also just 15 min drive from the airport. The only downside is the neerby power plant - our room faced it and it was noisy and ugly.
Yet, it was a perfect vacation.
