Getting Around Sousse

🚌 Transport in the Sousse Region

Taxis are readily available in Sousse, but make sure you agree a price before you get in to avoid disappointments later. Louages act like shared taxis, and can end up costing a fraction of the price of a normal taxi ride. Tuk-tuks and the road train are great fun if you want to travel to nearby Port El Kantaoui. Car hire is a great option if you want to explore the surrounding area, or why not choose to go at a slower pace and soak up the scenery in a horse-drawn carriage?

Travelling by bus or carSousse is connected to a main bus station that stops at several attractions around the city. Buses cover most part of the resort but check for an up to date timetables at your hotel. As it’s a busy city, driving within Sousse isn’t for the faint-hearted. Outside of the city, roads are relatively uncrowded and easy to navigate but most holidaymakers opt for day trips and organised excursions. Drive on the right-hand side.
