Cheap Holidays to Phang Nga Bay

Koh Yao, nestled in Thailand's stunning Phang Nga Bay, is a serene escape from the more developed and bustling island of Phuket. Just a short boat or even helicopter ride away, it offers a tranquil hideaway, boasting wide vistas, quiet beaches and a plethora of day trip options.

Koh Yao is relatively untouched, making it a perfect spot for those seeking peace and quiet. Its beaches are serene and offer beautiful views of the surrounding bay.

For the more adventurous, explore the majestic limestone rock formations jutting out of the sea, paddle through mangrove forests in Tha Lane and Lam Taeng, or take a longtail boat for island-hopping adventures. The nearby Phi Phi Island and the famous James Bond Island, featured in 'The Man With The Golden Gun', are popular day trip destinations, easily reachable by speedboat.

Koh Yao is an ideal destination for those seeking a quiet retreat with the option for adventure. Its pristine beaches, stunning natural scenery, and range of activities both on land and water make it a unique and enchanting holiday spot.

Getting Around

Travel facilities around Thailand are efficient and very inexpensive, especially the buses that operate around the resorts, towns and cities. In more rural areas and smaller towns, open-ended vans (songthaews) are popular, as are taxis, tuk-tuks and samlors. There is also an extensive train network if you’re travelling over larger distances, and ferries and longtail boats are a common sight on waterways. Most tourists stick to taxis as they are most convenient and inexpensive.
