Getting Around
Getting around on your Pineda de Mar holidays is easy. Explore by foot and take in the plentiful squares and gardens and appreciate the variety of bars and restaurants within walking distance from most accommodations. Taxis are easy to find all over and fares are reasonable.
Marineland Catalunya
A family waterpark with thrills for all. Opening its doors in 1984, Marineland is one of Spain’s first Marine Zoos. Take on the fast and furious rides, splash about in toddler friendly pools, and be amazed by the dolphin show. More than just a water park, Marineland Catalunya is home to parrots, flamingoes, sea lions, and more! Exotic bird shows are a must see, and guests can spend hours immersing themselves in walking along next to huge aquariums.
Montpalau
This vast mountain peak is ideal to climb with castle ruins of medieval Turó de Montpalau and an old wheat mill to explore en route. 406 metres high, Montpalau is the highest point of the presidential area of Can Carreres. Montpalau is also home to a functioning Baroque church of Santa Maria. Fill your lungs with fresh, clean air; the hike is well worth breaking a sweat as you cross streams and bridges. At the top you’ll be rewarded with a panoramic view of the whole village and ocean shoreline.
