Getting Around
Travelling by bus is the easiest way of getting around the resort. A regular bus service runs throughout the day and it is a cheap option. Alternatively, taxis are in abundance, and while they can be a little expensive in the Hotel Zone, they’re more affordable downtown. Be aware however they are often not metered, so agree a fare in advance. Car and motorbike hire is also available (even a Harley-Davidson), and both offer a great way to explore Cancun if you want flexibility. Some hotels also hire out bikes.

History & Culture
The iconic Mayan archeological sites of Chichen Itza and Tulum are a drive away and great for an excursion, but you don’t have to go as far as that to see some ancient Mayan history on Cancun holidays. Xplor lets you enjoy thrilling zip-lines, swim through amazing stalactite caves and ride on amphibious vehicles which go both underground and over water.
Dive into a Lost World
Aktun Chen is a nature and adventure park where you can marvel at underground caves crammed with stalagmites and stalactites. Located in lush jungle between Xel-Ha and Akumal Bay, dense canopy and exotic birdsong give this place the feel of a magical lost world. With the safety of a life jacket swim through spectacular fresh water grottos or take a guided quad bike tour of the jungle. The serpentarium displays many poisonous and non-poisonous snakes.
