Gozo holidays are all about soaking in the Mediterranean sun, lounging at the beach or indulging in some crazy watersports. Situated in the Maltese archipelago, Gozo is known for its for its scenic beauty, pristine beaches and rustic charm. The island is also famed for its natural formations like Calypso Cave and Ggantija Neolithic temples and the unspoilt beaches of San Blas and Ramla Bay. Holidays to Gozo are the perfect antidote to hectic schedules and city life, with the picturesque isle boasting fantastic beaches, first-class restaurants and a variety of exciting festivals to take part in.

For adventure-seeking souls, there are watersports available at beaches such as Ix-Xlendi Bay or Hondoq ir-Rummien, where you'll find everything from paddling to canoeing. Fishing trips, boat trips and yachting can also be arranged. The rugged, mountainous slopes of the island provide the perfect scope for hiking and trekking - so don’t forget your walking boots. As far as nightlife is concerned, Gozo may not measure up to its big brother Malta, but the nightclubs and bars of this tiny island are known for their lively atmosphere and great music. La Grotta is a big nightclub located in the Xlendi Valley, while Café Jubilee is good for a quiet evening by the beach. The choices of accommodation are staggering. You can find everything from budget hotels to luxury resorts. Whether it's a spring break or a weekend trip, Gozo holidays are the best way to spend quality time with your loved ones. Brave the Caves

Brave the Caves

As a by-product of two caves collapsing, the Inland Sea can be found in the Dwejra area of Gozo, and is predominantly used by bathers and snorkellers. The water is astounding and the tunnel, which connects the caves with the Med beyond, is popular with scuba divers. Many of the isle's day boat trips will take you through the caves, so remember to pack your camera.

Sensational Snorkelling

Sensational Snorkelling

The island is best appreciated from the water, whether you are snorkelling, diving or taking a magical trip around the coastline. Mgarr ix-Xini entices tourists with its clear waters and scenic surroundings and is the best beach for snorkelling in Gozo.

Many of the beaches in Gozo have pebbles but Ir-Ramla il-Hamra stands out as the longest and sandiest. Fine, reddish sand covers the stretch of beach and it's a popular spot for sun worshippers who can bronze on the soft sands and then take a dip in the clear sea. The beach kiosks have plenty of ice creams to cool you down as well.
