Getting Around Ireland

🚌 Transport in the Ireland Region

Hiring a car is hands-down the best way of getting around Ireland, especially if you want to explore the beautiful coast and villages. There is also a good train service but it is a little less extensive in the more rural areas. the bus network is pretty good and tickets are much cheaper but check at the tourist information offices for the most up to date timetables. Taking ferries across rivers can cut your travel time, and they can also take you to offshore islands.

Travelling by bus or carTravelling by bus is an inexpensive way of exploring Ireland if you don’t want to drive. Plan your itinerary in advance because some services are infrequent, especially away from the main cities.   All major franchises and local companies are available if you want to hire car. Roads are usually very good. Check the fees and the prices before you sign. Driving is on the left-hand side.
