Sitting on the south east coast of Rhodes, the mini village of Lardos is the perfect destination for a traditional Greek Island getaway. Promising a flawless blend of excitement and relaxation, Lardos holidays boast plenty of activity with a healthy helping of charm sprinkled on top.
How does soaking up the sunshine on a twinkling beach sound? What about dipping your toes in the crystal-clear ocean or discovering the incredible creatures that live beneath the waves as you and you snorkel around the sea bed? That’s just the start of what you can look forward to when you book one of our Lardos holidays! If you and your family love long, care-free days on the beach (and who doesn’t?!), holidays to Lardos make for a dreamy island retreat.
Holidays to Lardos offer two settings; one in the quaint village 2 kilometres inland and the other at Lardos Bay, where you’ll find a host of shops, restaurants and superb family accommodation to take your pick from. Head to the Blue Flag sand-and-shingle beach boasting sun loungers, gazebos and shallow waters great for splashing in, or visit the village square and marvel at the spectacular Italian fountain. Hire some bikes and explore more of the resort on two wheels, not forgetting to visit the ruins of the famous Byzantine Castle. The capital of Rhodes Town is less than an hour away for those seeking a day out, or if you’ve got the kids in tow maybe take a trip to the famous (and ever so slightly enormous!) water park in Falaraki?

Head to the resort’s main beach and you’ll be greeted by an exciting watersports centre that promises a full variety of activities. From white knuckle jet-skis to gentle pedalos, the fun is yours for the taking. The glass-clear Aegean waters and abundant marine life of Lardos beach make this the perfect place to grab your snorkels and discover the magic that lives beneath the water. And if that’s not enough to keep a smile on all the family’s faces, just 7km away in Lindos, you can often spot tuna fish and seals.

May is one of the best months to visit Lardos due to the annual Medieval Festival that takes place during this month. Taking the town back to its Medieval routes, you can soak up an entire day of entertainment as you watch the fabulous costumed parades that dance their way through the cobbled streets. With the likes of fire-eaters, jugglers and jesters all making the line-up, your little ones are guaranteed a day they’ll remember forever. The festival brings wonderful shopping opportunities too, with charming wooden stalls selling oldy-wordy handicrafts. And of course, even the food is Medieval, so be prepared for mammoth banquets!
