The fabulous sandy beach is pretty impressive, too.
Mastichari holidays come with beach-life at the plenty. The long, sandy beach is perfect for little swimmers with a gently-shelving shoreline leading to toasty warm water. The vibe on the beach is always laid-back and relaxed, with happy holidaymakers watching on as the pedalos and catamarans share the ocean’s space with kiteboarders and windsurfers. It’s all very relaxed here, even the café-bars and tavernas dotted around the place ask for very little legwork. But of course, if you want to add a bit of va-va-voom to your holiday, you can be in the livelier capital of Kos Town in less than half an hour. Offering a perfect balance of old and new, Kos Town gives you cosmopolitan life backed with magical history.
As a family-friendly resort, clubs don’t make the cut for Mastichari holidays. But that’s not to say that the evenings do not kick up their heels. Head to one of the taverna’s Greek nights and you and your family could find yourselves dancing along with the locals. Stay as late as you like and have as much fun as you like – closing time pretty much depends on when the last customer is ready to leave!
Mastichari may be a modest little village, but there’s nothing shy about the enormous Lido Waterpark that’s just a 10-miniute ride away! As one of the largest water parks in the Aegean, Lido Water Park boasts a huge wave pool, a lazy river, and tonnes of super-speed slides. If impressing your little ones with attempts at the Black Hole, the Kamikaze, and the Spacebowl is your style, then a fun-tastic day out at this family attraction is a must-do.
