Here, you can soak up some incredible historical sites, including the remainder of the Byzantine castle, handed down from the Knights of St John. Your little ones will love exploring the village’s many ancient treasures such as the semi-circular tomb of local hero Charmylos with its 12 crypts. And when you’re done with that, you can drop in for a drink at one of the traditional tavernas in the central square – well-earned after all that learning!

Getting around Marmari couldn’t be easier with plenty of public transport available to help you make your way around.

Travelling by bus or carBuses run frequently throughout Marmari and you’ll find licensed taxis dotted around the area. If you would prefer to explore at your own devices, you can rent a car or motorbike to get around Marmari and the rest of the island. You can rent a car in Makadi Bay if you prefer to explore the area at your own pace and without using public transport.
Passports and Visas

You don’t need a visa to travel to Marmari but you will require a valid passport that will remain valid for 6 months following the duration of your holiday.
