Outside of Kos Town, Kardamena is the liveliest holiday spot, with partygoers flocking to enjoy a full line-up of cocktail bars and clubs in Bar Street. Plan relaxing days spent on the sand, daytrip to the gorgeous island of Nisyros – where you can discover the volcanic village of Nikia – or head to the main squares for shopping stalls selling souvenirs and local goods. Zeus Boat Trips are a tourist favourite for their visits to secluded bays where you can swim, snorkel and enjoy a BBQ. You can also visit neighbouring islands by boat, including the volcanic island of Nisyros.
For a change of pace and a challenge, why not go on a guided mountain bike tour around Kardamena? If two wheels don’t appeal, try Rafael’s Trail Riding, which offers mountain trails for everyone from beginners to experienced horse riders. Go at sunset for stunning views and a cooler, more comfortable experience.
