Holidays to Key West are all about palm-lined sidewalks, powder white sands and a ton of tourist hangouts worth visiting. This popular Island city of the USA is located between the mainland USA and Cuba, offering a unique fusion of both paradise countries. Highly regarded for its shopping, museums, cafes and bars – you'll never be short for things to see and do here.

This tropical resort is most popular during the spring and winter months, as summer and autumn tend to be humid with unpredictable showers. Since this dreamy destination sits between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico, the beaches here are gorgeous, and easy to reach. There are so many there’s sure to be a stretch that suits everyone, from the intimate yet lengthy Smathers Beach, to family-favourite South Beach or postcard-worthy (and aptly named) Rest Beach.

For the adventure lovers, there’s plenty of incredible wreck diving and scuba sites worth discovering – plus snorkelling and boat trips for those wanting to stay closer to surface. The mile-long Duval Street is where the action’s at, particularly if you’re after lively nightlife – with a string of buzzing clubs and bars like famous Sloppy Joe’s. Shopping wise, this city is home to no less than 15 major malls and shopping centres, in addition to the pop-up stalls and markets selling souvenirs of course. For a change of pace, culture lovers should make time to discover the 907 Whitehead Street Earnest Hemingway Home and Museum, which is also a US National Historic Landmark. Looking to end the day on a high? Why not check out the Sunset Celebration at Mallory Square, a famous Key West spectacle held daily to watch the glowing sunset and host entertainment.
