Welcome to Egypt's North Red Sea coast, home to two fantastic holiday spots: Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada. These resorts are perfect for travellers who love beaches, diving, and a lively atmosphere, all at a reasonable price.

Sharm El Sheikh is a diver's paradise. The clear waters offer incredible coral reefs and marine life, ideal for snorkelling and scuba diving. When the sun sets, Sharm buzzes with a variety of restaurants and clubs to keep you entertained.

Hurghada has grown from a quaint fishing village to a bustling resort. It's got beautiful beaches, water sports, and a charming marina and old town to explore. You'll experience both the new and the traditional side of Egypt here.

Both destinations offer a range of all-inclusive hotels, giving you luxury without breaking the bank. These places are designed to be convenient, offering food, drinks, and entertainment in one package. Whether you're here for the underwater adventures, the sunny beaches, or simply to relax, Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada offer an unforgettable holiday experience at a great value.

Pack your bags for Egypt's North Red Sea resorts, where adventure and relaxation meet affordability.

Getting Around Northern Red Sea

Transport in the Northern Red Sea Region

Transport in Egypt is generally efficient and getting from A to B should be easy. Taxis are a great way of travelling between cities and resorts, and car hire is also possible. However, drivers need to be at least 25, and you’ll want to be a confident driver. Drive on the right-hand side.

The bus network is extensive and runs regularly, while microbuses can be found pretty much everywhere.

Passports and Visas

You usually need a visa, which can be attained at the airport for $25USD. Visitors to South Sinai resorts can visit for 15 days without one. Passports should be valid for 6 months. For more information and advice, visit www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/egypt/entry-requirements or the Foreign Office at www.fco.gov.uk/en/

Health and Safety

Insure yourself before you travel, to make sure you are covered if the worst happens while you’re away. For more info, see www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/egypt/health

Vaccinations

You should ensure your party are up to date with routine jabs. It’s also recommended that you consider a Hepatitis A jab. Double check latest guidelines with your GP before you travel.
