Cheap Holidays to Czech Republic

Czech Republic holidays have gained in popularity in recent years thanks to its beautiful cities, stunning countryside and friendly character. The lively capital of Prague is a great location for Hen and Stag do's, with upbeat bars, clubs and entertainment around every corner. But this beautiful city also has fantastic restaurants, romantic squares and architectural delights to enjoy if you prefer a low-key vibe. From Prague's stunning gothic Old Town, 9th century castle and the famous Charles Bridge, to the Krkonose Mountains, Christmas markets and vast national parks and lakes, Czech Republic holidays have magnetic appeal.

Holidays in Czech Republic offer plenty of outdoor adventure as well as great sightseeing opportunities – and the beer and breweries are world famous! There is even a Beer Museum where you can sample a variety of brews on tap. If you want to explore the evening entertainment, the city has a sizzling nightlife and Bombay Bar & Club, N11 and Aloha Bar are the hotspots where you could let your hair down.

If you want to explore the area, head out to the relaxing spa town of Karlovy Vary, known for its laid-back vibe and numerous thermal springs. Or visit the Český Krumlov Castle in southern Bohemia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Restored almost to its lost glory, the castle has a functional Baroque Theatre dating back to the eighteenth century. If you want a short haul holiday that doesn't break the bank, Czech Republic is one of the cheaper European cities to visit. The climate is continental, but the best time to go on Czech Republic holidays is during spring and autumn, when the weather is pleasant and the trees in full bloom.

Public transport in the Czech Republic is good, particularly in Prague and Brno. The metro, buses and trams run regularly, connecting cities, towns and villages. Trains operate frequently. Cycling is a popular option for explorers in and around Prague, with plenty of marked paths to stick to. Many people opt to explore Prague by foot. Taxi's are not recommended due to heavy traffic in the city centre.

Travelling by bus or carThere are plenty of affordable and regular bus services operating from the Czech Republic’s major cities (especially Prague). Timetables are available online.
