Getting Around Varadero

🚌 Transport in the Varadero Region

Varadero is only 10km from the airport, so the easiest way to get to your hotel is by taxi. Registered taxis wait at ranks but you can arrange for your hotel to send one. Alternatively there’s a regular bus service between the airport and Varadero. In the resort, your hotel will almost certainly be beachside. Even if you’re not going anywhere make sure you go for a ride in a cute, yellow 2-seater Coco taxi.

Travelling by bus or car A day’s pass for the resort’s convenient hop on, hop off bus is very cheap and it takes you past most of the hotels and the market area. Watch out for the palm trees if you’re on the top deck! If you hire a car make sure you remember to drive on the right. However, car hire is expensive, and with great guided tour options and the beach nearby, it’s not necessary to get behind the wheel.
