It’s easy to enjoy the charms of Arenal d’en Castell on foot. Or try the mini train - a fun and kid-friendly way of getting around the resort and a very popular way of getting up the hill to the beach! If you want to explore the rest of this beautiful island, many opt to hire a car.

Travelling by bus or carWhile it’s possible to get a bus from Arenal d’en Castell to the capital Mahon and other popular points of interest, bus timetables may not be reliable and the service is limited (even in high season), so a car or taxi is your best bet.   Car hire is plentiful and easy to arrange. However, due to the tricky journey from the airport, many tourists are happier arranging a transfer from the airport, then hiring a car when they arrive in the resort. Drive on the right-hand side.
