Bag a sun lounger and
soak up some rays on the beach while watching the kids paddle in the shallow
waters. If you’re feeling a bit more energetic, hire a pedalo, a ringo, or a banana
boat and whizz across the waves. There are great snorkelling opportunities here
and the long sunny, summer season means the waters are beautifully warm!

can practice their swing at the championship 18-hole golf course, which is in
Son Parc, just 10 minutes from Arenal d'en Castell. Cyclists have their pick of
coastal paths to enjoy; there are many public and hotel-owned tennis courts which
you can use to improve your game. If indulging in sporting activities isn’t
your thing, you can truly relax by getting a massage or soaking in the

After a pre-dinner
drink by the sea, dine in one of the excellent waterfront restaurants. El
Pirata is a great choice for tapas, and Rioja is served with a smile. Arenal
D’en Castell may be a world away from the superclubs of Ibiza but there’s a
great live music scene with bands performing on Wednesday and Sunday nights in
the square at Coves Noves.
Scuba lovers will leap
at the chance to get up close and personal with Arenal d’en Castell’s
underwater residents in the Swiss Cheese dive area. As the name suggests, this
hollow reef is full of holes (looking suspiciously similar to our favourite
snack) and is home to a wide variety of fascinating aquatic life including
octopus, reef fish and rays.
