S’illot is the perfect destination for a well earned family holiday. The chilled beach town, located on the South East coast of the Baleric Island of Majorca (or Mallorca), is quiet enough for you to put up your feet and relax, and with a beach 350 meters long you wont struggle to find a spot to sunbathe in!
With holidays to S’illot, there are lots for the whole family to enjoy – from trying your hand at watersports, to shopping for gifts and seeing the local wildlife. The Safari Zoo is merely a 5-minute drive from S’illot for nature lovers, or if the weather gets a bit too much, why not cool down at La Reserva, a fantastic water park just outside of the town? Majorca has things for everyone to enjoy, so you won’t have to worry about your tots, or your teens. Explore the surrounding resort on a day trip to a different town, or why not discover some of the island’s hidden gems on an excursion – the Caves of Drach, authentic Palma Cathedral and exciting Catamaran tours await - great for those budding adventurers.
S’illot holidays are not just for families but also for those wanting to really relax and unwind. Despite the evening entertainment being generally hotel based, S’illot does offer up a few lively bars. If those aren’t right for you then the short journey to the livelier Cala Millor is sure to do the trick. Or if you are interested in partying elsewhere then you can take a trip across the island to Magaluf, Majorca’s popular party destination.
In S’illot there are plenty of places to enjoy the sea, whether it be laying on a beach or actually spending time within the water. And if you want to try snorkelling then Cala Morlanda and Cala Mendia are just two of the places local to S’illot in which you can. You can even take a boat trip further out to sea and enjoy scuba diving amongst the fish.
Being the largest tourist development on the East Coast of Majorca, Cala Millor has plenty of things to do for all ages. Cala Millor has plenty of bars and restaurants for those wanting to party a little more, and also has an amusement park for the younger holiday goers. Being less than 15 minutes away from S’illot by car, it is the perfect place to visit during your holiday.
For the people wanting to delve a little deeper, there are also some caves scattered about Majorca. Cuevas del Drach (or Dragon Caves) is a set of caves, and is roughly 4 miles from S’illot. The caves do contain a large underground lake, Lake Martel, which you can sail across after listening to a classical music show. If Cuevas del Drach isn’t enough for you then you can also visit Cuevas del Hams and Cuevas de Arta which are also close to the resort and easily accessible via bus or taxi.
If beach trips and sea water isn’t for you then why not visit one of Majorca’s many water parks? It’s sure to help cool you down on even the hottest of days! These water parks are bound to bring joy to everyone involved with their colourful slides and both dry and wet play areas for the children to run around in. And the Splash World in Sa Coma has an abundance of sunbeds so you wont have to look far in order to find the perfect spot for you.
