The pretty harbour of Porto Colom is located in the southeast of Majorca, in the district of Felanitx. This compact resort is sprinkled with colourful seaside towns, fisherman's boats and Blue Flag beaches alongside elegant eateries on the waterfront. Porto Colom holidays are a great hit with families thanks to the abundance of things to see and do here, from miniature coves dotting the coastline, to watersports galore, caves to explore and exciting neighbouring resorts with plenty to offer.
Holidays to Porto Colom serve up a sensational selection of beaches from the main stretch of Cala Marcal, with golden sands, water activities and a line-up of coastal café bars, to Cala Nau in the south, with miniature beaches and coves to discover. If you want a taste of tradition, Porto Colom holidays are packed with charming towns - historic Felanitx being the closest with beautiful ancient monuments, including a fairy-tale hilltop castle sitting overlooking the resort. Also, just over an hour away you've got the classy capital of Palma, with boutiques to browse, architecture to admire and tapas to tickle your taste buds with.
Want to explore further? You can expect a change of pace in the nearby city of Magaluf (84km away), but don't be side-tracked by its party reputation, it's gorgeous soft-sand beaches and exciting Aqualand park make it a hit for smaller holidaymakers. Or if you're unsure on where to visit, head to the harbour and hop on a boat – one of the best ways to explore the island on Porto Colom holidays.

Cala Marcal is Porto Colom's most popular beach, with soft sands that slope into shallow waters. This family favourite beach is a hit with kids too due to its popular play area. If you want to explore other shores, there are two beaches by the harbour, S'Arenal Grand and S’Arenal Petit, which are great for sunbathing and swimming.

Porto Colom is a popular scuba diving destination with schools offering Scuba and PADI certification courses. So whether you're a novice or an experienced diver, find a pair of flippers and explore the Calas to the east of Majorca. If you prefer to stay above water, other sports available include paddle-boarding, kayaking and snorkelling or hop on a boat and sail past isolated coves and beaches that dot the coastline.
