Cheap Holidays to Vietnam

Vietnam holidays are reportedly some of the most enchanting to be had. A bubbling fusion of cultures with both chaotic megacities and serene hill-tribe families, holidays to Vietnam are awe-inspiring in every aspect. The scenery includes stunning beaches and complex caves; untouched jungle to roads packed with mopeds weaving and honking.

Vietnam’s turbulent and extensive history is reflected in all aspects of its modern culture and simply existing in the country for a while is something of a history lesson. Indigenous crafts are still touted by wandering merchants and the ancient and modern temples reflect the influences Vietnam has taken from Chinese and Hindu origins. Quaint French architecture is still common from the colonial period and the main cities’ skylines of glass and steel are proof of rapid corporate development in the last decade.

Vietnam holidays are known for their abundant adventures like the breathtaking Hai Van Pass, which sees holiday makers switching motorbikes to reach the top, or their jungle treks that bring guided groups into the true wild. Thrill seekers will also rejoice in opportunities like kite surfing, river rafting, and gun ranges, but a Vietnam holiday’s softer side also puts leisure and wellbeing at the forefront of its tourism industry with a multitude of luxurious spas, family-owned massage parlous, and tranquil temples that resonate with reflection.

Vietnam holidays are famous for outstanding culinary offerings. Diverse and full of flavours inherited from a history of global influences, holidays to Vietnam are full of delectable cuisine and world-renowned coffee.

Getting Around Vietnam

Transport in the Vietnam Region

Vietnam may seem chaotic and intimidating to a first time visitors, especially those travelling by foot. Being home to over 45 million motorbikes, all dancing and beeping down the roads, roads seem impossible to cross. Pedestrians are advised to simply start crossing and watch as the oncoming traffic flows around them effortlessly.

Travelling by bus or car

Vietnam has several public buses that can take visitors from town to town, although buses within towns are less common and less reliable. In the country of mopeds, it is often better to book a car or motorbike taxi using a service like Grab.

Passports and Visas

To visit Vietnam every traveller will need at least 6 months left before expiry on their passport, and British citizens do not need a visa in advance, for trips that last less than 30 days.

Health and Safety

Vietnam is a reasonably safe country although, like all major cities or holiday destinations, it is not without its potential for crime. Visitors are advised to protect their belongings sensibly, research areas and businesses before visiting and be aware that reporting crime to local police can be a long and complicated process.

Vaccinations

Tetanus, Diptheria, MMR, Typhoid, Rabies, Cholera, Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B are all recommended for any visit to Vietnam and we recommend talking to your GP about the need for Malarials or other medication.
