Where is Hot in February
for a holiday? Hurghada

Want to swap grey skies for gorgeous sandy beaches but not sure where is hot in February for a holiday? Hurghada has earned the crown as Egypt's most popular tourist destination and for good reason. You'll be met by warm weather reaching 21°C, low rainful (thanks to it's dreamy desert location) and 7+ hours of sunshine a day! Perfect for spending your days lounging by the glistening pool, pottering along the beautiful beaches and exploring the colourful coral reefs under the crystal clear sea.

As with many holidaymakers who flock to the golden sands and turquoise waters of Egypt, one of the main draws of Hurghada is the diving. It's the perfect place for beginners to touch up on their technique or simply plunge into the mysterious underwater world. If you want to explore other winter sun options, check out our holiday calendar which tells you where is sunny every month of the year

There are a lot of different diving schools all offering similar experiences for the same price, but the easiest way to organise a dive is to ask at your hotel, many of which have their own instructors and equipment. If diving sounds a little daunting then you can always enjoy the gorgeous reef from the safety of a glass bottomed boat. There are of course, plenty of snorkelling options also, and a day trip to Mahmaya Island is a great way to get some peace and quiet and see some wonderful marine life.

If the sea doesn’t cool you down enough (it can often feel like a warm bath, even during the winter season) then head to one of the waterparks such as Makadi Water World, which is the perfect place to tire out the kids if you're travelling on family holidays. One of the most exciting things to do off the coast of Hurghada has to be the Dolphin Dancers day trip. Although it's a long day on the boat, you're pretty much guaranteed to have the chance to swim with wild dolphins, which for many people is a once in a lifetime opportunity. If you're up for an adventure further inland, there are also several excursions that allow you to explore the spectacular Sahara desert, whether it be by horse-back, quad bike or 4×4! Most companies offer a traditional overnight stay too where you can immerse yourself in the Bedouin way of life!
