Located on the southern coast of Tenerife, Costa Adeje is a relatively new resort and a favourite among families looking for a fun-filled holiday. The scenery is breathtaking, with panoramic views of the Mount Teide backing the beach and sparkling waters. Dazzling 5-star properties, boutique shops, quaint eateries and chic villas fringe the coast, plus it's close location to world-class Siam Park makes it a favourite for thrill-seeking kids, too.
Los Cristianos may have a less busy nightlife scene in comparison to its next-door neighbor Playa de las Americas, but its fine golden beaches and calm seas make it a top pick for families. There are plenty of acivities on the beach for kids to take part in, from swimming and snorkelling to banana boat rides, jet-skis and windsurfing, while on dry land you can lounge on sunbeds or explore a host of lively bars and eateries nearby. Stroll along the beautiful promenade or catch a ferry and discover the gorgeous islet of La Gomera for it's natural beauty - you might even spot dolphins or whales along the way.
PLAYA DE LAS AMERICAS
Though a resort with a bit of a lively character, Playa de las Americas has some of the best watersports and activities for families. Plus, the restaurants and karaoke bars are great for teens. The energetic town has a buzzing beach with exciting watersports to dive into, including parascending, banana boats, fly fish excursions, wakeboarding, water-skiing and plenty more. And there are livlely shops, bars and eateries to enjoy nearby, plus a Sunday market worth exploring!
Los Gigantes is a resort town in the west of Tenerife best known for its display of the alluring Acantilados de los Gigantes cliffs, which fringe the black-sand shoreline. If you want to beach-hop, there's a gorgeous Blue Flag stretch just 2-kilometres away in Play La Arena. Spend an afternoon exploring and choose from a variety of expeditions from the Los Gigantes harbour, from captivating catamarans, fishing vessels and even a pirate-themed ship for an extra dose of adventure! This quaint seaside town also boasts a beautiful marina which has a host of lively karaoke bars, restaurants and shops - making it a great place to spend an evening.
This quiet Canarian on the southwest coast of the island boasts a laid-back vibe with a mixture of fantastic activities, restaurants, shops and bars. Playa Paraiso has a small, sandy beach but most people flock to the tropical-style lido, complete with a waterfall, sunloungers and a restaurant too.
