1. The 16th at the Hard Rock Hotel, Tenerife

For dramatic Tenerife views of El Teide volcano, La Gomera island and, of course, the Atlantic Ocean and the best cocktails in town, head on up to the 16th at the Hard Rock Hotel. This uber stylish rooftop bar is perfect for watching the sunset.

The bar is number 1 on the island for inventive cocktails, chilled out beats and an exclusive setting making it the ideal place to usher in a big night. This really is the place to be in Tenerife. Enjoy the chic, minimalist décor, low tables and sofas and occasional live music (check the website schedule) 

2. Terraza 360 at the Barcelona Raval, Barcelona

This rooftop bar was the talk of the town in Barcelona back in the 2000s and it was pretty difficult to get in unless you were a guest at the hotel or a famous footballer, today the rules are more relaxed and if you’re willing to pay the price of a drink, you’re allowed up, although there is a dress code. 

Located in the heart of the edgy Raval (although a 5 minute walk from Las Ramblas), this place is so hip it hurts with a DJ playing a sunset set on Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the summer months.

3. Coho Apartment, Barberini, Rome

La Dolce Vita cool and on the famous Piazza Barberini we introduce you to the chicest hangout in Rome; Coho Apartment. Overlooking the famous Via del Tritone, this two level Manhattan style bar offers exclusive and expensive cocktails, live music and a hipster atmosphere.

A little different and unexpected is the Sushi menu and billiards room, but somehow it all works!

4. SkyLounge Amsterdam, DoubleTree by Hilton, Amsterdam

Looking for the ultimate relaxation hang after a big night in Amsterdam? Then why not head over the DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam Centraal for a nightcap at the spiffing SkyLounge? Another perfect rooftop bar for cocktails and DJ sets, this is probably Amsterdam’s best rooftop bar.

However, this bar also offers full restaurant service and an extensive menu, open everyday including Xmas day, you can hang here until 3am before falling into bed!

5. Le Jardin Suspendu, Route de la Pyramide, Paris

This huge rooftop bar in Paris at the infamous Jardin Suspendu is one of the most well known party spots to Parisians. Sat 8 floors up on top of a multi-story carpark, that doesn’t stop Le Jardin from being one of the most glamourous haunts in the city. It’s also massive. The Jardin is 3,500 square meters and its Jardin decoration theme, consisting of plants, cacti, lemon and olive trees, adds to the touch of class. The gardens are open all summer from 6pm to 2am.
