KEEP CALM AND TRAVEL
Clelia's Keep Calm and Travel blog tells the tale of how she left her home in the Italian island of Sardinia at 19, to travel the world. Clelia moved to London at the age of 30, where she worked as an au pair to learn English before entering the fashion industry, only to quit it all for her first love - travel! An adventure that began with a one-way ticket to Bangkok, has seen Clelia fly around the world. Her inspiring blogs recommend sunrise jogs and getting bronzed on the beach in Barcelona, visiting the magical blue lagoon in Comino and discovering the romantic city of Rome, among much more - all that's left to do is simply keep calm and, travel.
GIRL vs GLOBE
Sabina is the girl behind all the stories in one of our favourite travel blogs Girl Vs Globe. THE BLONDE ABROAD
THE TOURIST OF LIFE
Yvonne is the 22-year-old behind Tourist of Life. Based in a part of the Netherlands that’s too small “to even be recognised as a real place”, she loves her little escapes to Europe, which began on her family caravan when she was still a toddler. Planning a trip around Europe? Check out her handy seven-day itineraries, including island-hopping in Greece, travelling across Rome and the gorgeous Amalfi coast. According to her tales, Europe is the most tourist-friendly when it comes to travelling solo, with Portugal, Croatia and Spain topping her list of favourite destinations.
Fun-loving, feminist and forthright, Alice Nettleingham, 31, has got solo travelling down to a tee having spent much of her time exploring the world's most captivating continents and countries including Russia, Spain, Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary - and blogs about it all at Teacake Travels. It all started with a chance encounter on a train from Nottingham, which prompted her to start a career in teaching English abroad, which took her first to Korea and then pretty much everywhere else, before finally touching down in Taiwan, where she’s based now. So if your'e planning on travelling solo but don't know where to start, Teacake Travels is sure to put you on the right track!
THIS BATTERED SUITCASE
This Battered Suitcase belongs to the cool, Canadian travel writer Brenna Holeman, who lives in east London and counts wine and window seats among her favourite things. She's explored nearly 90 countries in her 10 years of solo travel, among them Greece, Portugal, Spain, Cyprus and Malta. Read her stories about sailing the cobalt waters of Turkey’s Gocek islands, tracking down the sinking or tilting (not really!) house in the Parisian neighbourhood of Montmartre and other exciting adventures. She dreams of being a writer and, going by her blog, we're sure it'll happen sooner rather than later!
VICKY FLIP FLOP TRAVELS
Vicky Flip Flop Travels is an advocate of solo travel. Vicky's journey began when she left her flat in London to go and stay at a vegan camp in Mexico. But that was just the beginning and since then, she's driven down the Pacific in a Ford Mustang, spotted the Northern Lights in Norway and hung out at the Sziget festival in Budapest, among many other unfortgettable adventures. Next on her list is a Vespa tour through Tuscany, past scented olive groves and vineyards. She was also the official blogger for A Summer’s Tale, a cultural and music festival held near Hamburg.
