General Description

The Hotel Villa Mediterranea is the perfect holiday village style hotel combining all the charm of the Mediterranean with direct access to the PortAventura Park and PortAventura Aquatic Park. The PortAventura Beach Club, 1.5 miles away, can be reached via shuttle (available during dates of operation) and it is only a five minute drive to Salou and an hour drive to Barcelona. The Villa Mediterranea Hotel’s 500 guestrooms are air conditioned in the summer and heated in the winter. All standard rooms have a telephone, minibar, satellite television and an en-suite bathroom, and can sleep a maximum of 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. Sit back and relax in the magnificent gardens or round the swimming pools, take time out to sample the hotel’s wide range of restaurants which will delight you with their scrumptious Mediterranean dishes or head for the fitness centre with its gym, two outdoor Jacuzzis, sauna and steam room. Guests also enjoy free access to ‘Campo Aventura’, a unique hotel-run mini-club offering a full range of services to entertain children aged between 4 and 12. Daytime and evening entertainment is also available in the hotel and in the park, and if you can find the time there is also a tennis court onsite and golf is available in the area. The PortAventura Park combines different areas themed to symbolise different regions and cultures of the world. There are many rides to experience, from gentle jungle swings for the kids to full-on 135km/h adrenaline coasters. Shows are the second biggest attraction to PortAventura, and there are a wide variety throughout the day from precise acrobatics to card tricks and magicians, everyone will enjoy. When you get peckish you are spoilt for choice of where to refuel, each land has a wide variety of restaurants and food outlets, ranging from a la carte menus to grab-and-go fast food for those who just want to keep going! Children are also well catered for with specially adapted menus. The PortAventura Aquatic Park, formerly known as Caribe Aquatic Park, is less than a stones throw from the main Park and has its own entrance. The vibe is very much a chilled out Caribbean feel, reggae music fills the air whilst kids and adults fill the water. Plenty of shade is provided by towering palm trees and beach huts which also serve up ice cold beverages as well as delicious food. An array of single flumes, double dingy flumes, water rapids and wave pools are scattered across park as well as a lazy river which meanders comfortably in an effortless circuit around the park. Special areas for younger children to play in are designed with fun but also safety in mind. Unique to PortAventura, the Beach Club offers a private retreat for onsite hotel guests who wish to relax and laze in the pristine Spanish sun. Situated on the height of a ridge approximately 100 metres back from the beach, the club offers stunning coastal views from the multiple infinity pools as well as various massage treatment therapies (payable locally). There are a total of seven pools available including a children’s pool, a white sand pool and a spa pool. The beach itself is called Playa Larga and is approximately 600 metres long and 30 metres wide. Parasols, hammocks and sun loungers are available to hire on the beach, or if you want to venture into the water, jet skis and sailing boats are also available! Choose cuisine from a snack bar, self-service buffet or restaurant to accompany your mood, and for that little extra luxury, book a table at the a la carte restaurant.
