Great Things to Do
From the cosmopolitan resorts of Naples and Sorrento, to the beautiful Amalfi Coast, the Neapolitan Riviera is an Italian hotspot for very good reason.
Discover the Ancient Ruins of Pompeii
Once thriving, Pompeii was buried under volcanic lava in 79AD, when nearby Mount Vesuvius erupted and destroyed the area. It was only when it was rediscovered in the 17th and 18th centuries that we realised its importance. Nowadays, you can visit the well-preserved ruins, as well as nearby Herculaneum, for a trip back in time.
Wander the Cobbles of Sorrento
With sophistication oozing from every cobblestone, Sorrento is the sort of picture-perfect destination that feels like you’ve stepped into a postcard. Browse its boutique shops, or enjoy a bite to eat at a pavement café. Make sure that you spend some time getting the perfect shot of Mount Vesuvius in the background, too!
Take a Boat to Capri
Situated just off the Sorrento Peninsula, Capri has attracted visitors for centuries, and can be accessed easily by ferry. From its natural treasures, like its azure waters and sea grottoes, to its historic churches and coastal walks, Capri’s beauty is enough reason to take the trip to see it all up close.
Walk the Coastal Trails
If you have a pair of good walking boots packed, the coastal trails on offer in the Neapolitan Riviera are a must do. What better way to admire the stunning scenery than by walking along the craggy cliffside? Trails can be found zig-zagging all through the hills, and along the Amalfi Coast, with sensational views.
